Today we’d like to introduce you to Urban Outrage.
Hello Urban Outrage, so excited to have you on the platform. So, before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Born and raised in Detroit, I developed a love for the underground fashion and music scene. After graduating from Full sail university for Digital Cinematography, I began to explore the creative world even more after meeting artist like Tiny Jag, Maya Mereaux, King Lynxx, Stiff Laflare, and many others. A huge inspiration came from working with Crowdfreak which allowed me grow and expand as a videographer and photographer by covering various concerts and events. Aside from that, I also learned how to build a strong foundation when it comes to building a company from the owner of Crowdfreak, Curtis Lamar.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Throughout the growth of my company, there has definitely been a few bumps in the road, which I feel happens to every entrepreneur. However, with the right support system those bumps were short-lived. I think one of the biggest challenges for me, was learning how to get out of my comfort zone when it came to meeting new people and building solid business relationships. In addition to that, the road has been pretty smooth, especially because of the connects I have made, which allowed my business to grow from word of mouth as well.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I spend majority of my time providing music videos for local artist, like Icis the Goddess, Tierra Tanai, Inutwiish, Rocky Badd, and many more. I’m also known for photography and working with amazing models such as Coast Wilde, Chase Miracles, and Mona Marie. One of my proudest moments was winning an award for photographer of the year presented by F.W.D Fashion Forward a few years ago. Aside of that, was being acknowledged as Director of the week by a few different blogs for music videos. When it comes to what sets me apart from others, I would say it’s my ability to create something out of anything. If certain plans for a project don’t fall through properly, I’m able to create an even better plan that makes every client happy and supports their vision.

I have been a fan of Urban Outrage since 2014. What I specifically like about working with her is her enthusiasm, creativity and motivating me not to give up on my dream as an artist. I’m glad to finally see an article about the hardest working Videographer and Photographer I can depend on to make me look good.
