Today we’d like to introduce you to Kristina Muir.
Hi Kristina, so excited to have you on the platform. So, before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I always knew I wanted to be a stay-at-home mom when my kids were young. What I didn’t know is that after a few years I would begin to lose myself. After years of endlessly cleaning the house, making meals, and taking care of everyone but myself. I decided it was finally time. Photography was “just a hobby” I told my husband. Five months after buying my camera I was knee-deep in family sessions. Photography sparked a passion in me I didn’t know existed. After feeling comfortable enough with my camera and getting some more formal education, I took the plunge to photographing weddings. The feelings of excitement and anticipation of a wedding day can’t be beat. I also work at a local hospital doing newborn photography and continue to book in-home newborn sessions during the week. March 2020, I picked up my first camera…. Less than 2 years later I have a successful business doing something I love that I never imagined. It took hard work and late nights, But I couldn’t be happier with my family/work-life balance.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I am a metro Detroit-based wedding photographer for down-to-earth and soulful couples. My work is warm, tender, and playful. My favorite parts of the day to document are the intimate moments and the moments that live in the in-between. That’s the good stuff.
So, before we go, how can our readers or others connect or collaborate with you? How can they support you?
I would love to collab with other wedding vendors on passion projects as well as meet new friends in the community.
