Today we’d like to introduce you to Jatnna Abreu and Rosibel Madera Vialet.
Hi Jatnna and Rosibel, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Listening to a podcast based in the Dominican Republic inspired us to create our own podcast in our local community Grand Rapids, MI along with the power of technology to listen worldwide. We knew there was a need for a Latina-based platform where women felt empowered, heard, be themselves, and connected with other women.
We first launched the podcast by sharing our own experiences, a year later we expanded to share the platform with other Latinas within our community who needed to share their powerful stories. Our topics emphasize women empowerment, taking care of ourselves especially our mental health while being our authentic selves.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It has not been a smooth road, the challenges we have faced have been not knowing if women will identify with the topics we share.
- Targeting the audience we intended to capture.
- Marketing ourselves to expand the podcast, such as to produce revenue.
- The podcast is currently a passion project which we love however have not found the right way to monetize for us.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
