Check Out Donna Lakes’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Donna Lakes. 

Hi Donna, so excited to have you on the platform. So, before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I always had the gift from a young age of the Spiritual Senses. I was raised Catholic. and went to Catholic schools. I had a strong relationship with God. I prayed a lot – talked to God a lot. Religion was my favorite subject. I had a visitation from Jesus at around age 7 or 8. At a young age, I put myself in counseling due to a turbulent childhood. My counselor turned me onto holistic medicine/solutions and metaphysical /spiritual knowledge. I was a long-time figure skater and my injuries led me to study physical healings and bodywork. I met the right people at the right times. Synchronicities of meeting the right people on my journey. Intuition and God’s guidance as I surrendered to being a conduit for God to work through me and to help people to heal. 

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It was always easy until I opened Ascension Healing Arts Center. The first year was the hardest. I bit off more than I could chew. It is a Healing Arts Center and a School. We grew so fast so quickly that I wasn’t staffed adequately to handle the growth. I was teaching, healing, and running the center. It was a year of putting out fires. A huge learning curve. But I looked at every mistake as a teaching experience. 

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am a healer, consciousness coach, and a spiritual teacher. I facilitate healings on all levels: physical, mental, emotional, spiritual, and energetic. I use a combination of modalities when working with clients. Some examples are hypnosis, reiki, or energy healings. I coach people into a state of self-love & empowerment. I’m most well-known for Inner Child work and Ascension Healing. I also teach various workshops on self-development & teach specific style of healing work. What sets me apart from others is my unique combination of modalities, my ability to help people with an array of things such as career change, anxiety, depression, trauma, recovery, physical illnesses, and more.
