Hi Ashley , can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I’ve always loved wearing hair extensions, and over time, I developed a true passion for beauty and the hair industry. One day, I decided that instead of just being a customer, I wanted to create my own hair business. In May 2018, I took that leap and launched my brand, Exclusively Yours Hair Collection.
From the beginning, my goal has always been to provide luxury hair extensions that are both affordable and made to last. I want my customers to be able to invest in quality hair that not only looks beautiful but also offers longevity.
Since launching, I’ve continued to grow, learn, and build my business through consistency, dedication, and a commitment to providing my customers with quality products and service. What started as an idea inspired by my personal love for hair extensions has grown into a business that I’m truly proud of, and I’m looking forward to continuing to evolve and grow my brand.
I’m incredibly thankful for every customer and everyone who has supported my business along the way. We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I have to be honest, it has not always been a smooth road. Owning a business comes with challenges and struggles, and there have been times when I’ve had to figure things out as I went.
One of the biggest challenges is realizing that everything doesn’t have to be perfect before you get started. There will always be things to work out, lessons to learn, and areas where you have to make adjustments. Sometimes you simply have to start, learn from the experience, and keep moving forward.
As a business owner, you’re responsible for so much and have to manage the many different responsibilities that come with running a business. There are days when you have to motivate yourself, make the decisions, solve the problems, and keep going even when things don’t go exactly as planned. There isn’t always someone there to push you, so you have to be your own biggest cheerleader.
Through the challenges, I’ve learned to be patient with myself, stay consistent, and not let setbacks stop me. Every challenge has taught me something and helped me become a stronger business owner.

We offer bundles, closures, and frontals, giving our customers quality options to create the look they desire. For customers in the Metro Detroit area, we also offer local pickup as a convenient option.

How do you think about happiness?
What makes me happy is being able to help people feel beautiful and confident. I’ve always loved how something as simple as having your hair done can completely change how you feel about yourself. When a customer receives their hair, loves it, and feels good about how they look, that makes me happy too.
I enjoy knowing that my business can have a positive impact on someone’s confidence. Whether it’s providing them with the right hair for a special occasion, helping them achieve a new look, or simply helping them feel more like themselves, those moments are meaningful to me.
