Today we’d like to introduce you to Carly Neroni.
Hi Carly, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I started off with a bachelors degree in teaching art k-12. I taught for about 3 years, and realized it wasn’t what I wanted to do with the rest of my life. I wasn’t happy. I’ve always loved makeup, skincare and anything related to beauty, so I took a risk and decided to go to beauty school. I fell in love with it! I’ve been an esthetician now for about 8 years and I’ve had my own business for 4! I decided to go on my own, and it was the best decision I’ve ever made!
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It’s definitely been a challenge! I was working for other salon and spa owners for a while and came to the decision to branch out on my own. When I started my business, I almost had to start from scratch. I came from another spa in a different city, and a lot of my clientele didn’t follow me due to the distance. Marketing myself at my new place to get people in the door was definitely a struggle. I also didn’t have much knowledge on how to run a business or how to self promote, so I had to educate myself and put myself out there in order to get business. It’s been hard, but incredibly rewarding! I wouldn’t trade it for anything.

Pretty Powers Esthetics came from my maiden name “Powers,” and I love making people feel pretty; it’s as simple as that! I specialize in custom facials, peel & dermaplaning add ons, eyebrow waxing/tinting, and makeup. Clients love how comfortable my suite is, how my services make them feel, and how they leave when they walk out of the door. I give a very hands on, educational, and enjoyable experience. My most popular offering is the Essential Custom Facial: a 60 minute relaxing service with a skin analysis, deep cleanse, exfoliating treatment, mask, serum & moisturizer, neck & shoulder massage, lip treatment, jade eye mask, & scalp massage. I recommend a skincare routine that best suits the client and recommend products that will help reach their skincare goals at home. I also love doing makeup for weddings! I love making someone feel beautiful for their special event. Giving someone that boost of confidence is the best feeling in the world!
Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?
I can definitely see Pretty Powers Esthetics growing with clientele and moving into a larger space! I would love to continue my education and explore even more innovative treatments to offer my clients in the future. The possibilities are endless!
