Hi Maggie, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
My story begins with severe breakouts and many days of turmoil! I had no idea that I was allergic to coconut! I was experiencing hives, itching, swelling, and other symptoms. Later, learning that every variation of coconut was intolerable for me, I began a product journey. It was during this time I became aware that most products for hair and skin contained coconut or a variation of coconut. Shampoos were inflaming my scalp. Soaps were causing my skin to be in complete agony. Lotions were also among the things I could no longer just buy. Then one of my granddaughter’s also developed a sensitivity to coconut during this time too. We began to pray for solutions and formulate hair products that were coconut free! They were also great for hair growth and scalp health. As a result, my daughter Morgan, granddaughter Meghan, and I teamed up to create a host of products with ingredients that would benefit people with coconut sensitivity and allergies when searching for hair care. We formed our company, we vowed that what we discovered, and created for ourselves was worth releasing to the masses so relief could belong to anyone who wanted it.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
No, the road has not been smooth! Some of our challenges in the beginning were finding what some of the variations of coconut really were. Many stores right now have products that are listed as coconut free but have 2-3 variations in the top 5 ingredients. Marketing is also a challenge because we are a family business, producing the product, advertising to a market with thousands of hair and scalp products, but focusing on our specialty to create awareness that we exist.

We are a family-owned business with three generations of women creating, selling, learning, and teaching through experience.

We offer consultations to help those in need of a hair routine, those wanting to learn how to care for their hair, and to aid in the hair care journey. We teach. We help. We listen. We care.
