Hi Mykaila, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I transitioned into my culinary phase back in October 2020. I graduated culinary an March 2022 I went back for baking and pastry in October 2022 to complete baking and pastry in June 2023.
I am the CEO and founder of SizzlinSaladz salad SizzlinSaladz specializes in handmade dressings and freshly made salad. We also will be providing pastries coming soon along with fresh made fruit drink.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
No, it has not been a smooth road. It has definitely been challenging. You know with Life obstacles constantly occurring. job changing not really giving myself the credit or even the time to focus on what needs to be done to ensure SizzlinSaladz leave it alonewill not have any more hiccups and can be the best salad bar in the Metro Detroit.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
What sets me apart from Other is every dressing is his handmade from scratch i’m also known for my creativity and how I plate things up and how I also make it look beautiful and so Edible
I also specialize in different desserts and pastries, and I am most proud of that even through the hard times in the short comments in the Set backs I still managed to be given an opportunity to you know, ensure sizzling salad stays on the map also still living in my dream and Career also able to help others. You know perfect their business or whatever it may be so I’m just thankful in honor that even when time is rough, SizzlinSaladz is still presenting an opportunity.
Any advice for finding a mentor or networking in general?
My advice that I have for just in general or just even in the network or just for any upcoming Chef trying to create something or be better at something just keep it no matter how hard it gets no matter what gets in the way consistency is key consistency is key. Keep it keep it keep it and eventually all of what you worked for will pay off.
