Travels with Lisa Baird
Lisa Baird is a retired teacher from Grand Rapids, where she dedicated 32 years to inspiring students and teaching English. During her teaching career, she found a love for the world of professional photography and travel writing, contributing to various magazines throughout Northern Michigan. Her passion for storytelling extends to her role as a social media content manager for the Suttons Bay Chamber of Commerce, where she highlights the beauty and charm of the Leelanau Peninsula.
Currently, Lisa serves as a group travel coordinator for EF Go Ahead Tours, specializing in recruiting for international tours. She is proud to carry on the legacy of Martha Ryan, who owned Martha’s Leelanau Table and led these memorable tours for over 30 years. With Martha’s traveling beret now passed to her, Lisa is excited to continue sharing the joy of travel with others.

It was a juggling act at times trying to balance photography, travel writing, while still teaching
