Today we’d like to introduce you to Jane Dabish.
Hi Jane, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I satudied media productions at William D. Ford Technology there I made 12 short animated films in 2 years. Then I started an art club 1995 titled The Animation Network Club and Ken Southworth was my 1st guest speaker from the American Animation institute in North Hollywood California. He spoke about the Art of Animation and demonstrated his drawing skills.
Then I had Robert Martin from Wayne State university attend several times, Grace and Wild, and other local studios spoke about films.
Then I met Robert Beggs at a restaurant and formed BD Productions and we worked on Family Choas, Taking Crazy Chances, Love interest and several other films..
I also film all types of events, and do content videos and headshots, glamorous shots, family pictures.
I have a special going on until November 15th. 2026.
Capture the beauty of fall. Call/ or text 248 821 7288 for more information.
Monthy, I host all types of events to network and I teach indie film studies.
I’m a freelance illustrator as well and create storyboard for indie film makers and companies as well. Must contract me a few weeks prior. With a budget.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Yes after Covid 19 I was trying to cast for “Everyone’s High but Mary Jane” and I was struggling trying to cast talent. But with a group effort I managed to get through it.
I had set back with a few other films as well. At times it’s difficult to cast a writer or at times some actors start thinking they should direct so I have several meetings in regarding where things stand prior. I believe team work works if we all stay positive.
I try to work without an ego. It makes it easier.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
Currently I specialze in creating, flyers, storyboards, movie covers, CD covers and any type of drawings clients would like..
I also film content videos and music videos. I can bring your vision to reality.
Just be sure to contract me when you have a clear idea of what you all want.
I can bring anyone’s vision into reality.
THE FUNDRAISERS I host are to raise money for “Speaking Up” Documentary film to create an awareness on all forms of abuse. This is an on going film because it’s a hard topic to discuss.
On September 6th 4pm to 10pm I will host an fundraiser for it. Then later in October I will host another 1. Email for more information.
I’m also working on ‘Wild World’ an action comedy film with some animation in it. As well as puppets.

Be sure to come out to support Michigan based films and talents. You never know who you’ll meet.
Keep in mind it’s all about who you know.
Can you talk to us a bit about the role of luck?
Well summer 2005 I met a Robert Beggs at a restaurant and this is when I was worn out after coming out of a film shoot so we started talking for several months then started working on films together.
So far it’s been a long road, and things in the entertainment industry are never easy people who tend to play smaller roles appreciate working on my films. Once in a blue moon I came across some editors and actors who were difficult to deal with. Or not free much.
So in “Driving in Circles” film I rewrote Jillian Naujokas to get shot in it because her schedule was too full to come to most sets.
So it came out good. She got into character very well
Then I met Scott Crossman, Hudson Shaw 111, and Jason Edgil who helped with the creative process.
Scott and Jason stand out as musicians and are very unique when it comes to creating films. Hudson helped film Hooked on Jane film. It’s on YouTube so be sure to watch the directors cut and after you all watch it rate it and write a review. 30 minutes of laughter.
Relief stress and enjoy yourself !
