Today we’d like to introduce you to Zena.
Hi Zena, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I’ve always had a passion for education, creativity, and helping others. I earned my Master’s in Education from the University of Michigan and spent about 15 years teaching middle school science.
Then motherhood changed the direction of my story in the best way. I became a mom to three children in 28 months, and suddenly I was balancing everything that comes with raising a busy family. I started sharing pieces of our real life, such as family recipes, organization ideas, educational activities, products I genuinely loved, and simple tips that made motherhood a little easier.
What started as something I enjoyed sharing gradually grew into a community. I realized that so many moms were looking for the same thing I was: realistic ideas that save time, make life easier, and still allow us to create meaningful moments with our families.
Today, my platform really brings together all the different parts of who I am, which is an educator, a mom, a home cook, and someone who genuinely loves discovering and sharing things that can help other families. I’ve had opportunities to work with brands, share my recipes and ideas with a growing audience, and even bring some of those conversations to local television.
The part I’m most proud of, though, is that the growth has happened organically. I’ve stayed true to what I actually use, cook, and do in my own home. I think people connect with that authenticity. My page has evolved into something much bigger than I originally imagined.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
No, it definitely hasn’t always been a smooth road. One of my biggest challenges has been balancing motherhood, my background in education, and growing a social media platform. There’s also a lot of pressure and comparison online, but I’ve always believed there’s room for everyone to succeed. I genuinely love cheering on my friends and celebrating their wins along the way. I’ve learned to stay focused on my own journey, remain consistent, and remember that someone else’s success doesn’t take away from mine.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I create lifestyle content centered around making everyday life easier for busy moms. I share family-friendly recipes, organization tips, mom finds, educational ideas, and products that I genuinely use and love. My background as an educator is still a big part of what I do, so I’m always looking for ways to help families while keeping things realistic and approachable.
I’m most proud of the community I’ve built and the trust I’ve created with my followers. What sets me apart is that what you see really is my life—my family, my kitchen, my routines, and the things that actually work for us. I want women to leave my page feeling inspired, supported, and like motherhood can be a little easier.
Who else deserves credit in your story?
My husband and my kids are definitely my biggest cheerleaders. They support all of my ideas, encourage me, and are such a big part of what I do. I’m also incredibly grateful for my two influencer friends, @farrahfeeds and @athomewithsyro. Having friends in this industry who truly understand the ups and downs, celebrate each other’s successes, share advice, and genuinely want to see one another win has been so valuable. I really believe having supportive people around you makes the journey that much more meaningful.
