Today we’d like to introduce you to Sharpie J.
Hi Sharpie, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
My journey started when I was just a child singing along to songs in the car and being a showman during karaoke as a kid. Which led me to writing my own music in middle school. Which led to recording my own music, to getting shows, and so on. Now im just trying to stay consistent and stay on top of life as best I can.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Money is the biggest obstacle, everything cost money, from gas to food, to beats, to distribution, to videos, to every single aspect the money is one of the biggest obstacles to overcome. That and self doubt. One minute you feel like you’re on top of the world and can conquer anything to the next feeling like you don’t want to get out of bed. But I push through everyday and continue to try my best.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am a singer/songwriter/producer/beatmaker/video editor/performer
Anything that has to do with entertainment i can do basically to some extent.
What sort of changes are you expecting over the next 5-10 years?
To be honest I dont really know music if always changing along with technology so its hard to say. I think my music will continue to grow as I do as a person.
