Inspiring Conversations with Jordan DiMatteo of Xposure Triangle

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jordan DiMatteo.

Hi Jordan DiMatteo, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
We started Xposure Triangle in June 2024. We already loved traveling and taking photos for fun, but eventually decided we wanted to build a business that allowed us to work on projects we genuinely cared about and see if we could turn it into a career.

Part of that decision came after Nate spent five years earning his bachelor’s degree in IT and cybersecurity, along with additional certifications. After more than 40 interviews failed to lead to an opportunity in the field, he decided to switch gears and put that same time and determination into building Xposure Triangle. It wasn’t the path either of us originally expected, but it pushed us toward creating something of our own.

We spent the first several months taking on smaller projects, including creating content for a friend’s local business and photographing and filming shows for another friend who had appeared on The Voice.

May 2025 was when things really started to change. We bought an FX3 on a whim and decided to take a more musician-focused and creative approach to our work. One concert led to another, and we began connecting with more artists, managers, and others in the industry. Throughout the rest of 2025, we continued building our portfolio, making connections, and investing more into the business.

As we progressed, we naturally fell into roles that covered different sides of the business. Nate took the lead on networking and discovered he also had a talent for social media after generating more than 1.5 million views within a few months while running a fan account for an artist he was working with. That experience eventually led to him working directly with Vwillz and showed us another avenue we could offer beyond shooting and editing. Jordan naturally leaned into the business and branding side, shaping Xposure Triangle’s image and building the structure needed to turn our creative work into a growing business.

Since then, we’ve had the opportunity to shoot for artists including Redferrin, Julia Cole, Mod Sun, Big Boi and Sleepy Brown, Britton, and more. We’ve also expanded into music videos, branded content, events, projects for businesses, and larger commercial productions.

Xposure Triangle has grown faster than we could have imagined when we started in 2024. We’re continuing to take on new opportunities, expand into different industries, and build a body of work that speaks for itself. We’re excited to keep pushing ourselves creatively, growing the business, and seeing where it takes us next—and we’re only getting started.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I’d say, like most things, it takes time to work through the learning curve of something new. We built Xposure Triangle from the ground up and had to learn every part of the process ourselves.

That has meant setting up the legal side of the business, designing our logo and brand kit, and building our website—which we’re currently updating whenever we aren’t filming. It has also meant insuring and paying off nearly $30,000 worth of gear and covering the cost of traveling back and forth to places like Nashville, Florida, and California to pursue opportunities and build our portfolio. We’ve had to figure out pricing, contracts, taxes, and how to consistently find work, all while keeping up with our day-to-day lives.

Nearly every opportunity has pushed us into something new, often without much time to prepare. After spending our first year learning and finding our footing, we realized that we both work well under pressure. We’re quick learners, determined to figure things out, and always find a way to deliver professional results regardless of what a project requires. That mindset has played a major role in how quickly Xposure Triangle has grown.

So, have there been obstacles? Of course. But has it been worth it? Absolutely. Every challenge has forced us to learn faster, become more capable, and prove to ourselves that we can build something successful from the ground up. Seeing how far Xposure Triangle has come makes all the time, money, travel, and work we’ve put into it worth it.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
Xposure Triangle is a photo and video company specializing in live performances, music videos, branded content, events, short-form content, and larger commercial productions. Although music has become a major part of our work, we aren’t limited to one industry. We work with artists, businesses, brands, and organizations to create visuals that feel intentional and specific to who they are.

What sets us apart is that we bring more than one perspective to every project. Nate has a strong eye for capturing energy and moments as they happen, along with an understanding of networking and what performs on social media. Jordan focuses on branding, creative direction, and making sure the final work aligns with the image behind the project. Together, we can handle photography, filming, editing, and the overall direction of a project rather than only delivering content that looks good without considering how it will be used.

Brand-wise, we’re most proud that Xposure Triangle has developed an identity of its own. We’ve built everything ourselves, and our portfolio continues to show our range without making the brand feel disconnected. Whether we’re filming a concert, producing a music video, covering an event, or creating content for a business, we want the final result to feel cinematic, professional, and true to the project. We want people to know that we care about the work we attach our name to, and we approach every opportunity as a chance to show what we’re capable of.

What would you say have been one of the most important lessons you’ve learned?
The biggest lesson for us has been that the path isn’t always clear until you’re already on it. We didn’t buy the FX3 with a detailed plan, and we couldn’t have predicted that one concert would lead to more shows, new connections, and opportunities in entirely different industries. A lot of the reason Xposure Triangle has grown the way it has is because we never gave ourselves the option of stopping, and we stayed open to opportunities we hadn’t originally considered. Sometimes, you just have to make the investment, take the trip, or accept a project you know nothing about in order to grow—and the reason it was pivotal becomes clear later.
