Conversations with Lulu Ogadinma

Today we’d like to introduce you to Lulu Ogadinma.

Hi Lulu, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I’ve always been someone who loved saving money. Since my teen years, I would shop the clearance racks and store sales. I didn’t get serious with saving money and couponing until 2021 when I found out I was pregnant with my second child. At the time my first child was 13. I told myself ok I need to prepare for expanding my family and I have to do it by saving money. I saw how much diapers and everything cost so I started to study some of the og couponers in the game so I could learn. I decided to start a IG page just posted the coupon deals I was doing and my followers started to grow. I was able to coupon enough diapers and wipes to last my daughter first 2 years of life. I also couponed personal care and household essentials. I normally get things 65-100% off retail when I do my coupon hauls . I’m pretty extreme with it now. Now I post breakdowns on all my social media accounts for my followers to do in store. Mainly Kroger and Meijer deals

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It has been a smooth road but the only thing that gets to me is the social media growth. In the couponing world , you really have to stand out to gain followers fast. I’ve seen people gain 100,000 followers in like 6-7 months and I’m still at 17.5k on Instagram since 2021 . I know I shouldn’t compare because everyone situation is different. A lot of creators don’t work full time while also being a single mom of 3 so I do the best that I can with my content

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
When I’m not creating content, I am assisting members at the credit union as a member relations specialist
