Daily Inspiration: Meet Becca Rae Eagle

Today we’d like to introduce you to Becca Rae Eagle.

Becca Rae, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Journaling saved my life since the early age of eight. Where else can a second grader process hidden abuse and trauma? At 51, journaling has shaped and transformed my mind, body, & spirit to a place of healing & now providing education and service, grounded in hope-the egregious tenacity of Faith. I help others feel better by journaling. Somatic meditative journaling activates energetic discovery.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
I have earned a purple heart in healing to speak from experience as an empathic light. I have lost everything (and have had the courage to write and podcast about it) as in losing reel appeal in life I have gained precious real treasure-authentic grace and compassion to hold out this healing practice to all.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am a writing teacher of 26 years, an international bestselling author, and a podcaster. I specialize in drawing on science, faith, & resilience to inspire others to seek their healing within. Journaling is for everyone. I am most proud of walking my husband to the other side of grief and my college age son toward being his own best advocate-a person with Autism also navigating Crohn’s Disease. My superpower is authenticity carried on the wings of vulnerability. Real > Reel. Get gritty and get journaling. Journal up^ and enjoy the view from the aerie.

Is there any advice you’d like to share with our readers who might just be starting out?
No practice is a THAT girl’s club. Healing is for ALL. That is worth its weight in gold from here beyond eternity.
