Check Out Kaeley Wynsma’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kaeley Wynsma.

Hi Kaeley, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I have had a love of athletics & fitness since a young age. The feeling of accomplishment when you work hard for something is so satisfying. I was a competitive gymnast turned collegiate cross country and track athlete. After college I missed competing. I tried a few local 5k runs but it didn’t feel the same. I tried my first Spartan race in 2017 and I was hooked. It had the cross country running I enjoyed and the swinging around and climbing which was similar to how I trained for gymnastics. Since 2019 I have competed at the Elite level in OCR currently I am a member of the USA OCR national team for the second year in a row. Ive competed in hybrid competition like the Hybrocon Games, Rally in the Valley and place 3rd in my age group in the first pro Hyrox. What motivates me to keep pushing is my kids I want to set a example for them that with hard work anything is possible

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
In college had to redshirt a season because I broke my femur and was told I would never run again, but I was back the next season 2020 was definitely a year for the books, as races were canceled. I also have had to get back into running shape as my 3 pregnancies as running did not work for me while pregnant.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I own Transform Fitness Studio in Jenison. I wanted to help others stay fit & active through their adult years so I became certified as a personal trainer. After working at a few gyms in the area I learned things I liked and things I wanted to do differently. Transform Fitness Studio was created as a why to help others breakthrough their barriers and ignite their inner athlete. Whether you used to be a competitive athlete or never got the chance growing up but now you want to prioritize your health; our small groups allow us to give you to proper progressions. It has been amazing being a part of our members journeys seeing them accomplish fetes they never thought they could as well as watching the friendships between each other grow. A few of the accomplishments are doing a 5k, deadlifting without pain, doing a Hyrox, a DEKA, a Spartan race, climbing 14ers and the list goes on. One of the things I always tell my people is I would not ask you to do something that I would not do myself. So I since 2019 I have been training and competing as an Elite OCR racer and I have made the USA National Team 2 years in a row competing at the World Championships.
So Transform is not just a gym its a community where we are each working to improve together by just being a little bit better then yesterday

Alright so before we go can you talk to us a bit about how people can work with you, collaborate with you or support you?
I am available for interviews, sponsorships and collaborations. I have a go fund me for raising funds to compete in Ireland for Team USA
