Life & Work with Shaniece Hemingway of Michigan

Today we’d like to introduce you to Shaniece Hemingway.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Well to shorten it. My dad and grandma sing. She always had us doing karaoke from youth to adults. My voice I felt was special so I start taking steps towards writing and making music trying to find my lane and style. Pushing on my own and ran into my best friend who is also musically inclined and we came together and start creating. We got a lot of good feedback but not enough. So we decided to sign artist to us and make it a movement. I started throwing showcases to make it about other artist and would headline my own events and now we are at part 7 and have a LLC. Creating and making people pay more attention

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has been hard and discouraging. Ppl being so cool but then see you as a threat and act weird. I’m humble and nice so I’ve been ran over plenty. Promised and don’t really have connects. But the ones I would have considered are not wanting to help after I’ve help with things.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I’m a vocalist. Singer song writer, I’m proud of my music and sound. I know it’s so many ppl that wanna make it and I just want enough fans to live comfortably off my music.

If we knew you growing up, how would we have described you?
I liked singing and was very shy and humble. Nice home with mom and step dad. Lots of friends clinging to me. Step team captain in school
