Today we’d like to introduce you to LILIYA FREYLAFET.
Hi LILIYA, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
My journey to becoming a classical homeopath has been anything but conventional.
Before entering the world of natural medicine, I worked in Information Technology as a database administrator. While I enjoyed the analytical side of my work, I always felt drawn to helping people in a more meaningful and personal way. That calling eventually led me to homeopathy—a decision that completely changed the direction of my life.
I graduated from the Ontario College of Homeopathic Medicine in Toronto and became a Certified Classical Homeopath (CCH). My passion for learning has never stopped. Over the years, I have pursued advanced training with internationally respected teachers, including Dr. Jose Isaac from India, whose deep understanding of classical homeopathy has had a profound influence on my clinical approach. I have also trained in Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis (HTMA), Clinical Hypnosis, Reiki, Family Constellations, nutrition, gemmotherapy, and other complementary therapies that help me better understand and support the whole person.
Throughout my career, I have intentionally broadened my education so I could confidently work with patients across all stages of life and with a wide range of health concerns. My postgraduate studies and clinical experience include oncology support, women’s health from puberty through post-menopause, pediatrics, endocrinology, dermatology, gastroenterology, pulmonology, ear, nose and throat disorders (ENT), neurology, autoimmune diseases, allergies, mental and emotional health, musculoskeletal conditions, and age-related disorders. This broad foundation allows me to care for infants, children, adults, and seniors, always tailoring treatment to the individual rather than the diagnosis.
Since opening Holistic Solutions Center in 2007, I have had the privilege of helping patients with both acute and chronic health concerns. While I am based in Michigan, USA, my practice has become international. Thanks to modern technology, I regularly consult with patients from around the world through WhatsApp, Zoom, Skype, FaceTime, and other secure video platforms, making individualized homeopathic care accessible regardless of geographic location.
My practice is rooted in classical homeopathy, where every case begins with listening carefully to the person’s unique story. I believe true healing comes from understanding the individual as a whole—physically, emotionally, and mentally—and selecting a remedy that matches that unique pattern rather than simply treating a diagnosis.
One of the greatest rewards of my work is seeing patients regain not only their health, but also their energy, confidence, and quality of life. Homeopathy is both an art and a science, and every patient continues to teach me something new. That is why I remain committed to lifelong learning, continually expanding my knowledge and refining my clinical skills to provide the highest level of care.
Looking back, I never imagined that a career change from technology to homeopathy would become such a fulfilling life’s work. Today, I feel incredibly grateful to do what I love every day—helping people of all ages, from many different countries, restore their health naturally through compassionate, individualized care.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Like any meaningful journey, mine has had its challenges.
One of the biggest obstacles was changing careers. I left a stable profession in Information Technology to pursue a completely different path in healthcare. It required years of study, clinical training, and the courage to start over in a new profession.
Building a practice from the ground up was another challenge. Homeopathy is still not widely understood in North America, and many people are unfamiliar with its principles. Earning patients’ trust takes time, education, and consistently demonstrating results. I learned early on that listening carefully, being honest about what homeopathy can and cannot do, and treating every patient with compassion were just as important as selecting the right remedy.
Another challenge has been my commitment to lifelong learning. Medicine is constantly evolving, and I believe a practitioner should never stop growing. Over the years, I have invested countless hours in postgraduate education, seminars, and mentoring with internationally respected homeopaths to expand my knowledge in areas such as oncology support, women’s health, pediatrics, endocrinology, dermatology, geriatrics, and many other specialties. While this requires significant time and dedication, I see it as an investment in my patients and in the quality of care I provide.
Some of the most difficult moments have involved caring for patients with very complex or life-threatening illnesses. Those cases have taught me humility, patience, and the importance of working collaboratively with conventional medicine. My goal is never simply to treat a diagnosis but to improve a person’s quality of life and support their body’s natural healing abilities while respecting the role of other medical professionals.
Looking back, I don’t see these experiences as setbacks. They have shaped me into a more knowledgeable, compassionate, and thoughtful practitioner. Every challenge has strengthened my belief that healing is a partnership built on trust, careful observation, continuous learning, and genuine care for each individual.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
Owning Holistic Solutions Center has allowed me to build the kind of practice I always envisioned—one where every patient is treated as a unique individual rather than as a diagnosis.
Classical homeopathy requires time, careful observation, and genuine listening. During each consultation, I strive to understand not only the physical symptoms but also the emotional, mental, and personal aspects of each person’s health. My goal is to identify the underlying imbalance and support the body’s natural healing ability with an individualized treatment plan.
One of the things I value most is developing long-term relationships with my patients. Many families have trusted me with their care for years, and it is incredibly rewarding to care for several generations—from grandparents to parents to young children. I enjoy following my patients’ progress over time and helping them navigate different stages of life and health.
Because my practice is international, I also have the privilege of working with people from many different countries and cultures through virtual consultations. Technology has made it possible to provide personalized homeopathic care to patients around the world while maintaining the same level of attention and connection as in-person visits.
Every case is different, and that is what keeps my work so inspiring. Even after many years in practice, I continue to study, attend postgraduate seminars, and learn from experienced colleagues because I believe that the best practitioners never stop learning. My greatest satisfaction comes from seeing my patients regain not only better health, but also hope, confidence, and a better quality of life.
Do you have any advice for those looking to network or find a mentor?
One of the best decisions I ever made was to never stop learning. I believe that no matter how many years you have been in practice, there is always something new to discover and someone who can teach you a different perspective.
I have been fortunate to learn from outstanding mentors throughout my career, including internationally respected homeopaths such as Dr. Jose Isaac. Every mentor has contributed something unique to my clinical thinking, and I continue to attend advanced seminars and postgraduate training whenever possible.
My advice to anyone looking for a mentor is to find someone whose work you truly admire—not just for their knowledge, but also for their integrity, humility, and the way they care for people. A good mentor doesn’t simply provide answers; they teach you how to think, how to observe, and how to continue learning on your own.
Networking has also been an important part of my professional growth. I have built meaningful relationships by attending conferences, participating in professional organizations, joining study groups, and staying connected with colleagues around the world. Some of my closest professional relationships began with a simple conversation at a seminar or through discussing difficult clinical cases.
Most importantly, be generous with your own knowledge and willing to learn from others. Professional relationships are strongest when they are built on mutual respect, curiosity, and a genuine desire to help one another grow. I believe that every experienced practitioner has something valuable to share, and every colleague—regardless of experience—can teach us something new.
