Today we’d like to introduce you to Loren Johnson.
Hi Loren, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
My journey has been anything but linear, and honestly, that’s what makes it meaningful.
I’ve always had a passion for beauty, creativity, and helping people feel confident in themselves. Before becoming a licensed esthetician and makeup artist, I spent years exploring different creative outlets, including, music, acting, modeling and content creation. Through those experiences, I found myself drawn to all things beauty and how it’s really not about beauty appearance—it’s about how people feel when they looked in the mirror.
After becoming licensed, I launched Oren Beauty with a mission to help women feel safe and confident in their skin again. Like many entrepreneurs, I’ve experienced seasons of growth, setbacks, reinvention, and learning. Becoming a wife and later a mother transformed my perspective and taught me the importance of resilience, balance, and pursuing purpose even when life looks different than you imagined.
Alongside my beauty business, I began sharing my journey online as a content creator, documenting everything from skincare and makeup to personal growth and faith. What started as simply sharing tips evolved into a community of women navigating confidence, motherhood, beauty, and self-discovery together.
Today I’m focused on rebuilding and growing Oren Beauty (after a year long absence) and continuing to create content that empowers women to invest in themselves without feeling pressured to be perfect. My goal has always been bigger than skincare or makeup—it’s about helping women recognize their worth, embrace their unique beauty, and show up confidently in every area of their lives.
Looking back, every chapter—even the difficult ones—has contributed to who I am today: a business owner, creator, wife, mother, and woman committed to serving others through beauty, encouragement, and authenticity.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Absolutely not. Like most entrepreneurial journeys, mine has been filled with both rewarding moments and significant challenges.
One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is that success rarely happens in a straight line. Building a business while navigating major life transitions has required me to constantly adapt and reinvent myself. Becoming a wife, then a mother, changed my priorities and forced me to find new ways to pursue my goals while balancing family responsibilities.
I’ve also faced the challenges that many small business owners experience—periods of self-doubt, financial uncertainty, growing a brand from the ground up, and learning how to market myself in an increasingly competitive industry. There were seasons where I had to step back, reassess my direction, and rebuild with a clearer vision.
As a beauty professional and content creator, I’ve had to learn that growth isn’t always measured by numbers or immediate results. Sometimes growth looks like showing up consistently when no one is watching, staying committed when opportunities don’t come as quickly as you’d hoped, and having the courage to start over when necessary.
Looking back, those challenges were some of my greatest teachers. They strengthened my resilience, deepened my faith, and reminded me why I started in the first place. Every obstacle helped shape the mission behind my work today.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I am a licensed esthetician, professional makeup artist, content creator, and founder of Oren Beauty. My work centers around helping women feel confident, empowered, and comfortable in their own skin through skincare education, makeup artistry, and authentic storytelling.
I specialize in creating natural, elevated beauty looks that enhance a woman’s features rather than mask them. Whether I’m working with a client, creating educational content online, or developing my business, my focus is always on helping women see beauty as a tool for confidence rather than perfection.
Over the years, I’ve become known for combining beauty with encouragement. While I love teaching skincare and makeup techniques, I’m equally passionate about helping women rebuild their confidence, especially those who have struggled with insecurities, life transitions, or feeling disconnected from themselves.
What I’m most proud of is creating a platform and business that goes beyond appearance. Through Oren Beauty and my content, I’ve been able to connect with women who need reminders that they are worthy, capable, and beautiful long before they achieve flawless skin or master a makeup routine.
What sets me apart is my ability to blend professional beauty expertise with genuine life experience. As a business owner, wife, mother, and creator, I understand the realities many women face every day. I don’t believe beauty should feel intimidating or unattainable.
At its core, my work is about helping women feel safe in their skin again—and that’s a mission I’m proud to build every day.
Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
I believe one of the most important qualities behind my success has been adaptability and a willingness to keep learning.
Life and business are constantly evolving, and I’ve learned that growth often requires you to adjust, pivot, and embrace new challenges rather than resist them. Whether it’s navigating changes in the beauty industry, building a business, becoming a mother, or expanding into content creation, I’ve had to be open to learning new skills and approaching things differently than I originally planned.
I don’t believe success comes from having all the answers. It comes from being willing to remain teachable, stay curious, and continue growing through every season. Some of my greatest opportunities have come from stepping outside of my comfort zone and being willing to learn from both successes and setbacks.
That mindset has allowed me to keep moving forward, even when the path wasn’t clear, and it continues to shape how I approach both my career and my personal life today.
