Today we’d like to introduce you to LaToya Coleman.
Hi LaToya , we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
The Single Housewife was born from my desire to create a softer, more intentional life for myself and my family. Like many women, I found myself balancing the responsibilities of home, motherhood, and everyday life while also craving freedom, creativity, and financial independence. I wanted a life that felt beautiful and fulfilling not one that was defined by constant hustle and burnout.
As I began embracing the idea of a soft life, I realized that for me, it didn’t mean giving up ambition. It meant building something on my own terms. That’s what inspired me to start my charcuterie business. What started as a creative outlet and a love for bringing people together through beautiful food quickly grew into something much bigger. It gave me the opportunity to be my own boss while still creating a lifestyle that aligned with the peace, flexibility, and femininity I was seeking.
Today, The Single Housewife is a reflection of that journey. It’s about showing women that you can desire softness and still be driven. You can prioritize rest, beauty, family, and joy while building a business and creating your own success. My story is really about redefining what it means to have it all—not by doing more, but by creating a life and career that feel aligned with who you truly are.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. One of the biggest challenges has been learning how to balance my desire for a soft, intentional life with the realities of being a business owner and a single mom. Social media often makes entrepreneurship look glamorous, but there have been plenty of late nights, moments of self-doubt, financial uncertainties, and days when I felt stretched thin trying to do it all.
Starting my charcuterie business required me to step outside of my comfort zone and bet on myself, which can be scary. There were times when I questioned whether I was capable of building something successful while still maintaining the lifestyle I wanted for myself and my family. I had to learn that creating a soft life doesn’t mean avoiding hard work—it means being intentional about where you invest your energy and creating systems that support your peace rather than constantly sacrificing it.
Looking back, those challenges taught me resilience, confidence, and the importance of trusting my vision. Every obstacle pushed me to grow, and each small win reminded me why I started in the first place. Today, I’m proud that I’ve been able to build a business that not only supports my family but also reflects the life I’m working to create—one that’s rooted in femininity, freedom, creativity, and purpose.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I am the founder of a luxury charcuterie and grazing company, and I specialize in creating elevated, beautifully curated experiences that bring people together. What started as a creative passion quickly evolved into a business that allows me to combine my love for entertaining, design, and hospitality. From intimate gatherings to large-scale events, my goal is always to create something that feels effortless, elegant, and unforgettable.
Beyond my business, I am also the voice behind The Single Housewife, a platform that reflects my journey of embracing femininity, entrepreneurship, and the pursuit of a soft life. I share what it looks like to build a beautiful life on your own terms—one that values peace, luxury, creativity, and financial independence.
What I’m most proud of is creating a brand and lifestyle that align with who I truly am. As a single mother and business owner, I’ve built something from the ground up while staying committed to the life I envisioned for myself and my family. I’ve learned that softness and ambition can coexist, and I hope my story inspires other women to believe the same.
What sets me apart is the experience I create. Anyone can arrange food, but I curate moments. My aesthetic is rooted in beauty, intentionality, and elevated details that make people feel celebrated. Whether through my charcuterie creations or the content I share, my brand is about making everyday life feel a little more luxurious, a little more feminine, and a lot more meaningful. I believe true luxury isn’t just about what you have—it’s about how you feel, and I strive to bring that feeling into everything I create.
How do you think about happiness?
What makes me happiest is being able to create beautiful, intentional moments—whether that’s through my charcuterie boards, my events, or even the way I curate my everyday life. I love the feeling of taking something simple and turning it into something that feels warm, elevated, and meaningful.
It brings me joy because I’m naturally drawn to beauty, detail, and the energy that comes from bringing people together. There’s something really fulfilling about watching people slow down, connect, and enjoy themselves in a space I helped create. In a world that often feels rushed and heavy, I find happiness in softness, creativity, and peace.
At my core, I’m happiest when my life feels aligned when I’m building my business, caring for my family, and still making space for a soft, feminine lifestyle that feels true to me.
