Check Out Anthony “Ant” Choucair’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Anthony “Ant” Choucair.

Hi Anthony “Ant” , we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I’ve always been drawn to storytelling and entertainment. From an early age, I knew I wanted to pursue a career in acting and filmmaking, even when others didn’t understand the path I was taking. Like many aspiring artists, I faced setbacks, rejection, and periods of uncertainty, but those challenges only strengthened my determination.

Over the years, I’ve worked hard to develop my craft, build connections, and create opportunities for myself. I’ve appeared in film projects, collaborated with talented creatives, and dedicated countless hours to studying characters, memorizing scripts, and improving as a performer. For some roles, I’ve even isolated myself and fully immersed myself in the character to deliver the most authentic performance possible.

My journey hasn’t been without obstacles, but I’ve learned that persistence, resilience, and belief in yourself are essential. Today, I continue pursuing my dreams as an actor and filmmaker while inspiring others to stay committed to their goals despite criticism or adversity. I’m proud of how far I’ve come, and I’m excited about where this journey will take me next.

I established myself as a film actor in 2024. I was born and raised August, 29, 1996 in Michigan, USA to Lebanese American parents. Working towards as an artist, I fell in love with cinema and art at a very young age, after my parents early on age of divorce and separation. Growing up in the suburbs of Detroit, in Dearborn, Michigan, I pushed towards as a freelance photographer and the semi trucking industry. In my early college years, I worked on various student short films, and grew immense passion towards his craft. I studied psychology over the years to self educate and understand different psychological human behaviors, working towards my goals and degree. In 2017, my first role was as an extra actor in the film, “The True Adventures Of Wolfboy”, filmed in Buffalo, New York. Although I did not take acting seriously during those years, I decided to pursue it several years ahead. After my dedication to method acting and playing different characters, I’ve been casted in films and TV series such a as “Queen Of The D”, “Street Legal”, “Unscripted”, “Fair Play”, “Deep” and many more. With dreams and goals of my profession, I plan to expand my career with great intentions in film, hoping my team and I can propose a different level of diversity, authenticity, and uniqueness to the industry in various roles to aspire, inquire and to fulfill. Without my family and friends, I would’ve never made it far with my efforts. My mother is my inspiration and hero since she teaches me about love, hope, kindness and never giving up. She is the reason on why I push myself everyday, so I am able to take great care of her and make her proud. Growing up without my biological father has played a major role in why I strive to become the best version of myself possible.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
No, it has not been a smooth road. Pursuing a career in acting and filmmaking comes with constant challenges, including rejection, financial uncertainty, and people doubting your vision. I’ve had to overcome setbacks that would have caused many people to quit, but each obstacle taught me resilience and strengthened my commitment to my goals.

One of the biggest challenges has been staying focused while dealing with criticism, false assumptions, and people who didn’t always support my ambitions. There have been times when opportunities fell through, relationships ended because of conflicting values, and personal situations tested my character. Through it all, I learned the importance of protecting my peace, surrounding myself with the right people, and continuing to move forward regardless of outside opinions.

The entertainment industry is highly competitive, and success rarely happens overnight. I’ve had to be patient, remain consistent, and keep improving my craft even when results weren’t immediate. Looking back, those challenges didn’t stop me. They helped shape me into a stronger, more disciplined, and more determined person. Today, I view obstacles as opportunities for growth rather than reasons to give up.

My biggest utmost challenge was being able to act through my diagnosis of schizophrenia. It was a challenge because I would face weight gain as my side effects of medication and I’d have to really conserve and watch what I consumed on a daily basis. But with great exercise and great habits, I’ve maintained to function a normal routine. I live a pretty normal life with the medication and I’m thankful that it’s very mild and could be a lot worse. It brought me more ambition and motivation to accomplish my goals in the past two years of my acting career. I’ve managed to do 21 different projects with film and TV series in this time frame. It’s been a pleasure and honor working with great amazing people as well as meeting with great directors and producers. I wouldn’t be able to accomplish without God and Jesus Christ.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I’m a film and television actor. My journey into acting has been driven by a passion for storytelling and a willingness to take risks in pursuit of my dreams. Starting with smaller opportunities and background roles, I continued to develop my craft, build industry relationships, and gain experience on professional productions. Through persistence and dedication, I earned roles in projects including Sleepers, Queen of the D, Dirty Rose, True adventures of Wolfboy, Deep, Unscripted, Fair Play, Dirty Rose, Six Ways To Make A Dollar, Street Legal, and many more.

Like many actors, my path has included rejection, uncertainty, and obstacles that tested my commitment. However, each challenge reinforced my belief that success comes from consistency and perseverance. I remained focused on improving my skills, learning from every opportunity, and continuing forward even when progress felt slow.

We’d love to hear about how you think about risk taking?
I believe that growth and success require calculated risk. If you never step outside of your comfort zone, you often end up living within the limits of what feels safe rather than discovering what you’re truly capable of. To me, the biggest risk isn’t failing, it’s wondering “what if” years later because I never tried.

Pursuing acting and filmmaking has been one of the biggest risks I’ve taken. There are no guarantees in the entertainment industry, and success often requires investing time, money, and energy into opportunities that may not produce immediate results. Despite the uncertainty, I chose to pursue my passion because I knew I would regret not giving it my full effort.
