Today we’d like to introduce you to Ana & Diana.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
The F Word started as a simple idea between two friends who realized that most financial education felt intimidating, overly technical, and often excluded women from the conversation.
When we looked around, we saw that many women wanted to learn how to save, invest, and build wealth, but they didn’t know where to start. Financial content was either too complicated or focused on people who already had experience. We wanted to create a space that felt approachable, relatable, and empowering.
So we launched The F Word, a financial community designed specifically for women. We began by sharing simple, practical content on social media, breaking down topics like investing, budgeting, and financial independence into language that anyone could understand.
What started as a passion project quickly grew into a thriving community of nearly 60,000 women across Mexico & Latin America. Today, The F Word offers educational content, courses, challenges, events, and partnerships with leading financial institutions, all with one mission: helping women feel confident about their money and take control of their financial future.
Our journey has been driven by a simple belief: financial freedom shouldn’t feel exclusive. Every woman deserves access to the knowledge, tools, and confidence needed to build wealth on her own terms.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
To be honest, it has been a surprisingly smooth journey.
I think that’s because The F Word didn’t start as a business idea or a monetization strategy. It started from a genuine desire to help women feel more confident with money. We were creating content because we truly cared about the problem, not because we were trying to build a company.
We also happened to be addressing a very real need. Financial literacy is still a huge gap, especially for women in Mexico and Latin America. We quickly realized that thousands of women were looking for information about saving, investing, and building wealth, but they wanted it explained in a way that felt approachable and relatable.
Because we were solving a problem that already existed, the community grew organically. Women started sharing our content with their friends, bringing their sisters, coworkers, and family members into the conversation. The growth felt very natural because the demand was already there.
Of course, every entrepreneurial journey comes with challenges. As the community expanded, we had to learn how to scale our content, create educational programs, build partnerships, and stay true to our mission while turning The F Word into a sustainable business.
But overall, we’ve been fortunate. The strongest driver of our growth has always been the trust of our community and the fact that we’re solving a problem that genuinely matters in people’s lives.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
We are Ana and Diana, co-founders of The F Word, a financial education platform and community dedicated to helping women build confidence with money.
What makes our partnership unique is that we come from completely different professional backgrounds, and together we represent the two sides of financial education that women need most.
Diana is the finance expert. She studied Finance and built her career in the corporate world, working in financial institutions and developing deep technical expertise in investing, wealth-building, and personal finance. She brings the structure, strategy, and financial knowledge behind everything we teach.
Ana comes from a creative and entrepreneurial background. She built the community, the branding, and the visual identity of The F Word. More importantly, she represents the experience of thousands of women who were never formally educated in finance but decided to learn anyway. Her journey proves that you don’t need a finance degree to understand money, invest, and build wealth.
Together, we’ve created a bridge between financial expertise and accessibility. Diana makes finance accurate. Ana makes finance understandable.
Today, we teach financial literacy, investing, and wealth-building to women every day through courses, workshops, challenges, content, and one-on-one guidance. What we’re most proud of is not just the size of our community, but the impact we’ve had on helping women take their first steps toward financial independence.
What sets us apart is that we don’t approach financial education from a purely academic perspective. We combine professional expertise with real-life experience. We understand both the technical side of money and the emotional barriers that often prevent women from engaging with it.
In many ways, The F Word was built on the idea that financial education shouldn’t be reserved for experts. One of us is the expert, and one of us is proof that anyone can learn. Together, we help women believe they can too.
Are there any apps, books, podcasts, blogs or other resources you think our readers should check out?
A lot of our inspiration comes from resources that combine personal growth, business, and financial education.
One blog we particularly admire is Fintech Is Femme. We love how Nicole makes conversations around finance, innovation, and entrepreneurship more accessible, especially for women. It’s a great example of the kind of impact we are creating through The F Word.
Some of our favorite books include:
The Psychology of Money by Morgan Housel, for its timeless lessons about behavior, wealth, and decision-making.
How to Be a Rich Old Lady by Helaine Olen, which does a fantastic job of making financial planning approachable and empowering for women.
Outliers by Malcolm Gladwell, because it challenges the idea of success as purely individual achievement and highlights the importance of opportunity, timing, and persistence.
The Let Them Theory by Mel Robbins, a powerful reminder to focus on what we can control and let go of what we can’t.
The Little Book of Common Sense Investing by John C. Bogle, one of our favorite introductions to long-term investing and wealth-building.
As for podcasts, a few we regularly listen to are:
Morning Brew, for staying informed on business, markets, and trends in a simple and engaging way.
Se Regalan Dudas, which offers honest conversations about personal growth, relationships, and navigating life as a modern woman.
Wall Street Breakfast, for quick and practical updates on financial markets and economic news.
Together, these resources help us stay curious, keep learning, and continue finding new ways to make financial education more accessible and relevant for the women we serve.
