Today we’d like to introduce you to Paige Parcell.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
My journey into yoga started long before I ever thought about becoming a teacher. It started as a way for me to find safety within myself.
Growing up, I spent a lot of time alone and was learning how to navigate a difficult home environment. On top of that, I struggled with severe asthma, which made movement feel scary at times. I couldn’t do a lot of high-intensity activities without triggering an asthma attack that would leave me fighting to catch my breath.
But somehow, I found comfort in stretching and learning how to control my breath. Those small practices became something I could come back to a place where I could slow down, reconnect with myself, and feel grounded.
As I got older, I went through different seasons of my life where I was searching for healing and trying to find my way back to myself. Through my struggles, including my journey through addiction and recovery, I kept coming back to the same tools: movement, breath, and learning how to be present with myself. I realized these weren’t just yoga techniques; they were tools that helped me rebuild my life.
Yoga became the bridge between who I was and who I was becoming.
I started my yoga business because I know what it feels like to feel lost, disconnected, or like change isn’t possible. I want people to know that no matter where they are in their journey, they have the ability to transform their life. Healing is possible. Growth is possible. A new beginning is always possible.
My purpose is to share the tools that helped me heal and create spaces where people can reconnect with themselves, feel empowered, and remember their own strength.
Everything I teach comes from a place of lived experience. I’m not just sharing yoga, I’m sharing the practices that helped me find myself again.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Some of the biggest obstacles I’ve faced have honestly been learning how to turn my own struggles into strength.
Growing up, I experienced challenges that forced me to become independent and learn how to find stability within myself. I also had to navigate severe asthma, which created a lot of limitations around movement and made me feel disconnected from my body at a young age. Finding breathwork and stretching was the first time I felt like I had a tool that I could use to support myself.
Later in life, I faced my own battles with addiction, self-discovery, and rebuilding who I was. There were moments where I had to completely reevaluate my life and make the choice to heal, grow, and create something different for myself.
Building a yoga business has also come with its own challenges. Putting myself out there, sharing my story, creating events, and building something from the ground up has required a lot of courage, consistency, and belief in my vision especially during moments of uncertainty.
But I think those challenges are also what gave me the purpose behind my work. I understand what it feels like to need support, to feel disconnected from yourself, and to search for a way forward. Every obstacle became part of the reason I’m so passionate about creating spaces where other people can heal, reconnect, and remember their own power.
Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Stretch & Sesh with Paige?
My business is centered around creating immersive healing experiences that go beyond a traditional yoga class. I specialize in therapeutic yoga, nervous system regulation, breathwork, and intuitive movement practices that help people reconnect with their bodies, their emotions, and themselves.
What makes my approach different is that I believe yoga is not just about flexibility or achieving a certain pose it’s a tool for healing, self-awareness, and transformation. My classes are designed to help people slow down, release stress, regulate their nervous system, and build a deeper connection between their mind, body, and energy.
A unique part of my brand is incorporating cannabis and plant-based wellness into some of my experiences. I view cannabis as a tool that, when approached intentionally and responsibly, can help some people become more present, relax into their bodies, and deepen their mind-body connection. My goal is to create a safe, mindful environment where movement, breath, and community come together in a way that feels intentional rather than just recreational.
My own healing journey is the foundation behind everything I create. I built this brand from the practices that helped me transform my own life, and I want to share those tools with others so they can experience their own growth and healing.
I’m especially proud of creating unique experiences like Stretch & Sesh, where I blend therapeutic yoga, nervous system regulation, community, and mindful plant-based wellness. These experiences allow people to explore healing in a way that feels approachable, authentic, and different from a traditional yoga setting.
What I’m most proud of brand-wise is that I’ve created something that truly represents who I am. This isn’t just a yoga business; it’s a space built from my own journey of healing and self-discovery. I want people to know they can show up exactly as they are, reconnect with themselves, and leave feeling more grounded, empowered, and inspired.
Any advice for finding a mentor or networking in general?
My biggest advice for finding a mentor or building connections is to be willing to put yourself out there and lead with authenticity. A lot of the opportunities I’ve created came from simply showing up, sharing my vision, and building genuine relationships with people who believed in what I was creating.
I’ve learned that networking isn’t just about asking what someone can do for you it’s about creating real connections, supporting others, and finding people whose values align with yours. Some of my biggest growth has come from collaborating with people who were passionate about their own work and were open to sharing their knowledge and experiences.
When looking for a mentor, I think it’s important to look beyond someone who is just successful. Find someone who embodies the kind of person or leader you want to become someone whose mindset, values, and journey inspire you.
I also believe you don’t have to wait until you feel “ready” to start building something. Share your work, attend events, reach out to people, ask questions, and be open to learning. The right connections often come from simply being consistent and showing people your passion.
A lot of my journey has been built through community. The people I’ve met along the way have helped me grow, but I’ve also learned that you have to believe in your own vision first. When you genuinely believe in what you’re creating, the right people tend to recognize that energy.
