Today we’d like to introduce you to Miah Sims.
Hi Miah, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I started building my brand in 2019 during the peak of the natural hair movement. As I shared my journey, I began connecting with a community that truly resonated with my content, and that momentum opened doors to collaborations with some incredible brands. Many of which are still leaders in their industries today.
Around 2021, things began to slow down, but what initially felt like a setback became an opportunity for my growth. It gave me the space to discover who I was beyond the numbers, trends, and social media engagement. I stopped creating solely for likes and started creating from a place of authenticity. I realized that I was the brand, and that my story, values, and everyday life were just as important as the content I produced.
Now, in 2026, I’m preparing to become a mom for the seventh time. I’ve gained a deeper understanding of who I am, what I stand for, and the life I want to create. Today, my content reflects that journey of faith, family, motherhood, and intentional living. I’m no longer chasing what performs best; I’m curating a life and a brand that genuinely aligns with who I am.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It definitely has not been a smooth road. There have been many challenges along the way, but the biggest ones have been staying consistent and holding on to the vision and prophetic words I received for my future.
As a content creator who doesn’t always follow trends, it can be difficult to stay motivated when growth doesn’t happen as quickly as it seems to for others. I’ve watched peers surpass me in certain areas, and there were times when I questioned whether I should change who I was or alter my content just to keep up. Over time, though, I realized that their journey is not my journey.
One of my biggest personal struggles was shifting my mindset. When I first started, I was very results-driven. I focused heavily on numbers, opportunities, and what I thought success should look like. As I’ve grown, I’ve had to retrain myself to focus less on chasing the next big break and more on showing up consistently and serving my audience. I understand that my role is to be faithful to the assignment I’ve been given.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I am a content creator, influencer, encourager, and curator who specializes in motherhood, lifestyle, beauty, faith, and family-centered content. Over the years, I have built a platform by sharing authentic experiences from my everyday life, whether that’s raising a large family, navigating marriage, exploring beauty and wellness, or encouraging women to embrace who they are.
What I am most proud of is building a community that has grown with me through different seasons of life. My audience has seen me evolve from a beauty and natural hair creator into a wife, mother of soon to be seven children, entrepreneur, and woman of faith. The trust and connection I’ve built with my audience is something I value deeply.
What sets me apart is my authenticity. I don’t create content based solely on trends or what’s popular at the moment. Instead, I share real-life experiences, lessons, and moments that genuinely reflect who I am. I believe people connect with that honesty.
Before we go, is there anything else you can share with us?
If you feel led to do something, do it! I’d rather walk in obedience over spending my life wondering, “What if?” Obedience is always better than sacrifice.
