Today we’d like to introduce you to Bri Danielle.
Bri, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
What began as a hobby became my whole life. I taught myself how to do my own makeup towards the end of college to save money. I didn’t know I’d end up loving doing makeup on myself. I began to post the looks on social media & discovered the world of beauty influencing. I practiced so much, doing makeup daily, grabbing attention of big brands, receiving huge PR packages of makeup. Next thing you know, I was able to use all that stockpiled makeup on clients as I began a journey of becoming a makeup artist.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It has not been a smooth road. While the career path did fall into my lap, I’ve taken a few detours getting to the end goal. Doing makeup takes a lot of confidence. As someone that is a perfectionist, the “learning curve” was hard on me. I wanted to be perfect straight out of the gate and I’d get a bit discouraged when that wasn’t so. Sometimes I would take a step back and pause doing makeup. Imposter syndrome has gotten in my way for sure but I always made it back. I’ve bounced around from a few shop homes finding a place that felt like home. I’ve played around with a few makeup styles looking for my personal footing. There’s been a lot of ups and downs but I’ve stuck it out!
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
I’m your girl if you want to learn how to do your own makeup! I do makeup but my specialty is teaching people how to master a soft glam makeup look at home. What sets me apart is the fact I work on a 1-on-1 basis with my clients to teach my 5 phase routine that simplifies the application process. I wrote a detailed instructional book to detail each step for us to follow in class and my students to follow at home when they’re on their own. I offer a complimentary goodie bag of makeup to start my clients off. I even offer a service where I’ll do an assisted makeup shopping trip at a makeup store to help clients build a kit then I’ll teach them how to use their new products.
