Today we’d like to introduce you to Dale Bartosz.
Dale, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I started in the media world working for a local church capturing photo and video content. I remember talking with certain people back then how I could start opening up options for myself by doing photography or video for clients but really had no idea how to get things rolling. Fast forward a couple of years I decided to start offering myself as a second shooter for a video company in my area as well as second shooting photography for weddings. I learned a bunch quite quickly and feel by doing this I was able to set myself up for success. After a couple of years of second shooting and solo shooting my first couple of weddings I lost my full time job and decided it was time to jump in full time. It was honestly perfect timing (to me Gods provision) because I had two separate real estate media companies reach out for me to join their teams which is when I dove into the media world full time. I began my real estate media journey while also diving in full time to my personal wedding media business and the rest is history. I’ve shot 30 weddings (photo and video) a year since and have gotten to work with incredible people along the way!
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
There are certainly many challenges in this work, one because it’s art and you’re putting your art out there for people to see. I’ve had to overcome self doubt, criticism, and also so many unknowns with being self employed and being an artist. It’s been a fun road though and I wouldn’t change it for the world, finding success and trust with clients has been huge all while staying true to who I am, and what I believe.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I am a full time professional photographer and filmmaker. I work full time in real estate media as well as the wedding industry and everything in between tho I specialize mostly in weddings and real estate. I create timeless and beautiful photography for weddings and cinematic wedding films – heavy on the story telling. I’m very proud of where I’ve come with my work.
I feel that my approach to people and also my editing style sets me apart from others. I combine a number of shooting and editing styles into a beautiful work that’s honest to who the client is. I am a licensed drone pilot and include drone , audio, and professional lighting in what I do!
What matters most to you?
The most important thing in my life is following Christ, and staying close to Him in the ups and the downs. My family is also one of the most important things in my life.
