Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I, Cate. have been in the beauty industry for nearly 20 years doing extensions, coloring, and editorial styling until I came across my true passion… weddings. I have been doing wedding styling for a long time now, but in August 2025 decided that by creating a bigger team we could give more brides what they all deserve. With this idea, I created Cate+Co, a modern, timeless, and romantic bridal styling team grounded on the belief that every bride deserves a beauty experience that feels elevated, personal, and true to her style.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Before creating Cate+Co, I started by searching for an assistant who could help bring my vision to life, and together we have done just that. It took extensive planning, development, design work, and countless behind-the-scenes tasks to get Cate+Co on track for a successful future.
I can’t say it has been nothing but smooth sailing, but I also can’t say it has been a bumpy road. Like any new business, there have been challenges along the way. During the first few months of launching Cate+Co, one of our biggest concerns was figuring out how to grow our audience and establish ourselves within the bridal industry. My team and I are incredibly talented at what we do, and my personal salon business has always performed well, but introducing a completely new brand to our beautiful brides required a different approach.
Social media has become one of the most powerful tools for building an audience and increasing brand awareness. However, finding the right strategy and creating content that truly resonates with people can be challenging. While Cate+Co has been operated successfully from the start, growing our online presence has required patience, consistency, and a willingness to adapt.
At Cate+Co, our mission has always been to make every bride feel beautiful, loved, celebrated, and luxurious throughout her wedding journey. Ensuring that message reaches the right audience has been one of our biggest learning experiences, but it has also been one of our most rewarding accomplishments.
Despite the challenges, every obstacle has helped us grow stronger as a company. Each lesson has contributed to our development, and today we are more confident than ever in our vision and the future of Cate+Co. Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?
Over the next 5–10 years, I see the bridal beauty industry becoming even more elevated, personalized, and experience-driven. Brides are no longer simply booking a hairstylist or makeup artist—they are investing in a luxury experience that helps them feel beautiful, cared for, and completely at ease throughout one of the most important seasons of their lives.
As the industry continues to grow, I believe there will be a greater emphasis on concierge-level service. Brides want a team that is organized, attentive, and able to anticipate their needs before they even have to ask. The details matter, and creating a seamless, stress-free morning has become just as important as creating a flawless hairstyle or makeup look.
Another change I expect to see is an increased demand for full-service bridal beauty teams that can accommodate larger parties while maintaining a high-end, personalized experience. Brides want consistency, professionalism, and the confidence that every person sitting in their chair will receive exceptional service.
At its core, the bridal industry will always be about making women feel special. As trends come and go, the desire to feel beautiful, celebrated, and luxurious on your wedding day will never change.
