Today we’d like to introduce you to Latrice Delgado-Macon.
Hi Latrice, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I started The Styling Closet from a genuine love for fashion, luxury, styling, and the energy of the fashion industry. Ever since I can remember, I’ve been drawn to personal style, runway trends, editorial fashion, and the experience of discovering pieces that make people feel confident and elevated.
What inspired me most was realizing that fashion is more than clothing — it’s self-expression, confidence, creativity, and storytelling. I’ve always loved being around fashion events, luxury experiences, front-row fashion moments, designer showcases, and styling individuals to help them feel their absolute best.
Over the years, my experience in fashion retail, styling, media, and the fashion community helped shape my vision for The Styling Closet. I wanted to create a brand that brings together luxury fashion, editorial-inspired styling, trend forecasting, and accessible style experiences all in one space.
Today, The Styling Closet represents more than fashion — it’s a lifestyle brand focused on confidence, sophistication, creativity, and bringing people closer to the world of style and luxury through a modern and elevated lens.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It definitely has not been a completely smooth road. Like many entrepreneurs and creatives, there were challenges that came with building something from passion and vision. One of the biggest struggles was learning how to balance creativity with the business side of fashion — building a brand, creating opportunities, networking, marketing, and staying consistent even during difficult moments.
Another challenge was building in an industry that can sometimes feel very competitive and exclusive. There were moments of self-doubt, financial challenges, setbacks, and times when things didn’t move as quickly as I wanted them to. But those experiences taught me resilience, patience, and how important it is to believe in your vision even when things get tough.
I also learned that success in fashion doesn’t happen overnight. It takes hard work, relationships, consistency, and being willing to continue evolving. Every challenge helped shape The Styling Closet into what it is becoming today — a brand rooted in passion, luxury, creativity, and perseverance.
Through it all, my love for fashion, styling, media, and creating elevated experiences kept me motivated to continue pushing forward and growing the brand.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
The Styling Closet is a fashion and lifestyle brand centered around luxury styling, editorial fashion, trend forecasting, and elevated fashion experiences. Through The Styling Closet, I specialize in personal styling, fashion consulting, luxury-inspired looks, creative direction, and helping individuals build confidence through style.
The brand is also heavily inspired by runway culture, fashion media, front-row fashion experiences, and discovering what’s next in fashion and beauty. I love creating experiences that make fashion feel exciting, inspiring, and accessible while still maintaining a sophisticated and editorial feel.
What I’m most proud of is being able to turn my passion for fashion into a growing brand and platform that reflects creativity, confidence, and vision. I’m proud of continuing to build something authentic that represents not only style, but also ambition, empowerment, and community.
What sets The Styling Closet apart is the combination of luxury fashion energy with a personal and relatable approach. It’s not just about clothing — it’s about creating a full fashion experience through styling, trend insight, media, fashion conversations, and elevated storytelling. I bring a strong eye for fashion, real industry passion, creativity, and a genuine love for helping people feel confident, stylish, and inspired.
Do you have any advice for those just starting out?
My biggest advice for anyone just starting out is to believe in your vision and stay consistent, even when things feel slow or uncertain. Success does not happen overnight, especially in fashion, creative industries, or entrepreneurship. There will be moments where you question yourself, but consistency, patience, and confidence in your purpose truly matter.
I would also tell people not to wait for everything to be perfect before starting. A lot of growth comes from learning as you go, taking risks, networking, putting yourself out there, and being open to evolving. Relationships, connections, and professionalism are just as important as talent.
One thing I wish I knew earlier is that comparison can be distracting. Everyone’s journey looks different, and social media often only shows the highlights. Focus on building your own lane, your own voice, and your own brand identity instead of trying to keep up with everyone else.
I also learned that branding is extremely important. People connect with authenticity, storytelling, energy, and consistency. Build something that truly reflects who you are and what you want people to feel when they experience your brand.
Most importantly, protect your passion. Fashion and entrepreneurship can be demanding, but if you truly love what you do, keep going. Stay inspired, keep learning, trust the process, and never underestimate the power of showing up for yourself and your vision every single day.
