Today we’d like to introduce you to Manda “Kitty K” Renee.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
“My journey really started back in 2010 when I was in entertainment. Being around events, people, and nightlife inspired me creatively and showed me that I wanted to build something of my own.
In 2016, I stepped into bartending, but I wanted to bring my own twist to it. I started by creating custom bling cups, which quickly grew into making desserts and specialty treats. As my creativity evolved, I eventually turned everything into a full mobile bar experience called Purple Kissez Kreationz, where we serve cocktails, desserts, and create memorable experiences for events and celebrations.
Along the way, I’ve been blessed to serve celebrities and public figures like Boosie, Seyrah, and several media personalities. Then in 2024, another major chapter opened for me when I received my first media pass for the BET Hip Hop Awards through my platform, Bar Conversations with Kitty K. That opportunity pushed me deeper into the media and entertainment space and led to attending major events like the NXT Awards, Revolt World, BET Awards 2025, Femme’s grand opening, The Courageous Awards, and more.
Today, I feel like all of my experiences from entertainment, bartending, entrepreneurship, and media have all connected together. I’m continuing to grow both Purple Kissez Kreationz and Bar Conversations with Kitty K into brands that bring together culture, creativity, networking, and unforgettable experiences.”
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
“No, it definitely hasn’t been a smooth road, but every struggle helped shape me into who I am today. One of the biggest challenges was trying to build a business while constantly evolving and figuring things out at the same time. I started with bling cups, then desserts, then bartending, and now media, so there were a lot of moments where I had to learn as I went.
Another struggle was getting people to take me seriously in the beginning. A lot of times people only see the finished product, but they don’t see the long nights, the financial sacrifices, balancing multiple businesses, or the pressure of trying to stay consistent while building a brand from the ground up.
There were also moments of self doubt and burnout, especially being a woman entrepreneur trying to stand out in entertainment, hospitality, and media spaces that are very competitive. But I stayed focused, kept networking, kept showing up, and kept believing in my vision even when things moved slower than I wanted.
I think what helped me most was understanding that every setback was preparing me for something bigger. Now when I look back, I appreciate the struggles because they taught me resilience, creativity, and how to keep reinventing myself.”
We’ve been impressed with Purple Kissez Kreationz/Bar Convos With Kitty K, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
My businesses are really built around creativity, experience, and connection. My mobile bar business, Purple Kissez Kreationz, specializes in cocktails, desserts, and luxury event experiences. What started with custom bling cups evolved into a full brand that brings together drinks, sweets, presentation, and entertainment. I love creating experiences that people remember, not just serving products. Whether it’s private events, celebrity functions, parties, or pop-ups, I focus on making every setup visually appealing, interactive, and high energy.
I’m also the creator of Bar Conversations with Kitty K, which is my media and interview platform. Through that brand, I cover events, conduct interviews, network with creatives and entrepreneurs, and create conversations that highlight culture, business, entertainment, and inspiring stories. That platform really grew after I received my first media pass for the 2024 BET Hip Hop Awards, and since then I’ve continued expanding into major events and media opportunities.
What sets me apart is my ability to combine multiple worlds into one brand experience. I’m not just a bartender, and I’m not just media. I blend hospitality, entertainment, branding, networking, and creativity all together. I think people connect with me because everything I do feels authentic, energetic, and experience-driven.
One thing I’m most proud of is building my brands from the ground up and watching them evolve over time. I’ve gone from creating bling cups to serving celebrities, attending major entertainment events, and building a platform that opens doors for other creatives and entrepreneurs too.
I want readers to know that my brands are all about creating memorable moments, building genuine connections, and inspiring people to keep growing and reinventing themselves. Whether it’s through cocktails, media interviews, networking events, or curated experiences, my goal is always to leave an impact and create spaces where people feel seen, celebrated, and connected.”
Can you tell us more about what you were like growing up?
“Growing up, I was actually very quiet and more reserved. I really enjoyed just being a kid and spending time with family. Being the second oldest taught me a lot about responsibility early on, but it also made me very observant and independent.
Even though I was quiet, I’ve always been creative and drawn to entertainment, fashion, music, and being around people with big personalities. I loved environments where people could express themselves, even if I wasn’t always the loudest person in the room at the time.
I think deep down I always had an entrepreneurial and creative spirit, I just didn’t fully know how it would show up yet. As I got older, I became more confident in expressing myself, networking, and stepping into leadership roles. A lot of people who know me now would probably be surprised to hear that I used to be shy because my brands and personality today are so outgoing and interactive.
Looking back, I think my quiet nature helped me become a great listener and observer, which actually helps me now in media, interviewing, and creating experiences for people.”
