Daily Inspiration: Meet Itanise Aeolione

Today we’d like to introduce you to Itanise Aeolione.

Hi Itanise, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Suite 207 Braids & Essentials was built from a vision I didn’t fully understand at first. As a child, I would pretend to be my grandmother’s hairstylist, and I remember watching her relax and momentarily escape her busy life. Looking back, that was my first introduction to the power of care.
That experience carried with me as I began doing my younger sisters’ hair, helping my mother, and eventually styling friends and teammates. Over time, it grew into something more intentional, especially as I pursued nursing and began to see the connection between internal wellness and outward confidence.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Not at all. The journey has come with real challenges—from balancing nursing, motherhood, and entrepreneurship to figuring out how to actually structure and run a business.
In the beginning, I was doing everything on my own, and that led to burnout at times. I had to learn discipline, set boundaries, and really step into thinking like a business owner, not just someone providing a service.
I’ve also learned that this work goes deeper than hair. Clients come in with real experiences and emotions tied to it, and learning how to hold space for that while still protecting my own energy has been a part of the process.
Those challenges didn’t stop me—they helped shape how I move today and what Suite 207 stands for.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I’m a master braider and the founder of Suite 207 Braids & Essentials, where I create intentional, results-driven hair care experiences rooted in technique, care, and consistency. I specialize in knotless braids, stitch braids, and intricate designs, but what I’m really known for is the foundation—clean parts, proper prep, and work that actually lasts.
What sets me apart is how I approach the experience as a whole. I’m not just focused on the final look—I’m focused on the health of the hair, the feeling of the client, and making sure everything fits into their real life. My work is structured, efficient, and done with purpose.
As a Black woman, this work is personal. Hair carries history, identity, and emotion, and I don’t take that lightly. I’ve created a space where clients feel comfortable, understood, and cared for without having to explain themselves.
What I’m most proud of is the trust I’ve built. Clients come in unsure, overwhelmed, or just tired of not knowing what to do with their hair—and they leave with clarity, confidence, and a routine that works. That transformation, every time, is what keeps me grounded in what I do.

What are your plans for the future?
As Suite 207 evolves, my focus is on creating something that extends beyond the chair—a space, a standard, and a community that people feel a part of. Something that grows with them, not just for them.
