Today we’d like to introduce you to Jade / Logan Jaskolski / Eichelberg.
Hi Jade / Logan, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Our story really starts with our friendship! We first met in middle school through a mutual friend and instantly bonded over shared interests, similar senses of humor, and our life experiences.
After high school, we both moved to Kalamazoo, Michigan, where we became roommates and started working in the service industry at various bars and golf courses. Over the next 10 years, we took different paths with college, family life, and our careers. Logan stayed in Southwest Michigan, where she met her husband and welcomed her son, Dash, while Jade moved to the east side of the state for school. Even though we were building our lives in different cities our friendship always stayed strong and we’d visit each other often.
During that time, we’d occasionally have friends or former customers reach out looking for experienced bartenders for their weddings and events. Through word of mouth, those requests became more frequent and eventually turned into a consistent way for us to earn extra money while doing something we genuinely enjoyed. It was really nice to be part of such special moments for people and always fun getting to work together again for a night.
In 2020, Jade moved back to the area due to the pandemic. As things began to reopen, we naturally found ourselves stepping back into events. It became a fun and familiar way to navigate such an uncertain time, and looking back, the timing couldn’t have been better to try something new. That’s when we began exploring the idea of turning what we were already doing into something more intentional.
In December 2023, we officially launched Bar Babes Events with a goal of booking 5–10 events in our first year. Since then, we’ve exceeded those expectations. We’ve grown our team, built strong partnerships, hosted cocktail making classes, and even launched a series of events called The Boozy Book Club in collaboration with Gilbert and Ivy, a local bookstore in Vicksburg.
As of today, we’ve booked over 50 events. It’s been incredibly rewarding to turn something that started so organically into a small business we’re truly proud of.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
There have definitely been challenges along the way! Overall, it’s been an incredibly positive experience, but like anything new, there’s been a lot to learn and balance.
One of the biggest challenges for both of us has been finding that balance between running a growing side business while also managing our full-time careers and personal lives. We both naturally like to stay busy and say “yes” to opportunities, especially with Bar Babes. While that mindset helped us grow and open new doors, it also led to burnout at times. Over time, we’ve learned how important it is to set realistic expectations, create boundaries, and make space to recharge.
I also personally struggled with self-doubt more than I expected as a new business owner. That’s one of the reasons I’m so grateful to be on this journey with Logan. She’s been a constant source of support, positivity, and encouragement when I’ve needed it most.
One moment that really stands out was when we were developing our brand. We had no idea what we were doing, but we had so much fun brainstorming names, designing our logo, and building our identity. When we landed on “Bar Babes,” we loved it, but shortly after, I received feedback from two people who didn’t think the name would resonate, especially with women. The comments made my stomach drop, especially because it’s so important for both of us to be uplifting and supportive of women. It would be heartbreaking if our brand didn’t reflect that.
I brought the concern to Logan and even suggested we change the name, but she encouraged us to trust our vision. We still really liked the name and decided to stay with it despite the criticism. Our very first booking came from a woman who told us she reached out specifically because she loved the name and shared, “I saw it and thought, I want to be a Bar Babe too!”
That moment really stuck with us. Since then, we’ve had the opportunity to work with several female small business owners, and those partnerships have been incredibly meaningful. It reinforced a good lesson: you might not be for everyone, and that’s okay, authenticity and staying true to who you are more important.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Bar Babes Events is a professional bartending service specializing in weddings, private parties, corporate events, and celebrations of all kinds. We bring experienced, personable bartenders along with everything needed to create a seamless bar experience.
All of our bartenders are TIPS-certified, and we carry liquor liability insurance, both of which are often required by venues. Because of this, we’re able to serve alcohol provided by the event host, giving clients flexibility while still ensuring a safe and professional service.
We aim to be a full-service partner for the bar experience. That includes helping with drink quantity recommendations, creating custom shopping lists, designing signature cocktails, and creating personalized bar menus. We also bring our full inventory to every event—bar tools, ice bins, garnish trays, coolers, tables, and more—so our clients don’t have to worry about those details.
Our goal is to take as much off the host’s plate as possible. We know how stressful event planning can be, especially for larger gatherings, so we strive to make the bar portion easy, organized, and enjoyable.
As a brand, what we’re most proud of is the commitment we have to creating a good experience for everyone. We want to contribute to the overall atmosphere, connect with guests, and help make each event feel special and memorable. We also take pride in building genuine relationships with our clients and supporting other local businesses along the way.
If you had to, what characteristic of yours would you give the most credit to?
Our bartending experience has definitely played a big role in our success, but the most important factor has been how we work together as a team. We each bring different strengths, work styles, and perspectives to the table and encourage each other’s ideas and vision.
That balance allows us to stay creative, collaborate openly, and problem-solve. It’s also what gives us the confidence to try new things and step into opportunities, because we know we always have each other to lean on.
