Hi Sharon, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
In 2003 The Betty Brigade began like many small companies: one woman with a desire to help others, a long to-do list, and many busy people who desperately needed her services.

“I had recently been laid off from a corporate marketing job and had tried other jobs here and there, but nothing seemed to fit.

When I was part of the corporate world, I’d fantasize about having a personal assistant to help me with everything I didn’t have time to do at home while I was so busy working.

Not long after I had lost my job, I was curled into a ball, feeling sorry for myself and watching an episode of Oprah. Then, listening to her guests being interviewed, something clicked. I jumped off the couch and decided to turn the idea of having a personal home assistant into a business concept, and The Betty Brigade was born.

I started by making a list of things I was good at and reached out to contacts I had built relationships with over the years from my corporate job. Then I started getting busy. Really busy. I was getting constant referrals. I had to hire an employee to help keep track of all my appointments and to keep the business end of things organized while I was out helping clients. Today The Betty Brigade has grown into one of the most trusted home organization and relocation companies in America, serving clients in all fifty states.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?

In a nutshell, we do everything that you need to be done to help you move. From sorting through multi-decade collections, to emptying garages, providing room-by-room detailed inventory lists, to helping you list and sell unwanted personal items and removing the rest. The Betty Brigade does it all so you don’t have to.

We also have a full-service handyman department. Need your new home painted? Need windows replaced at your old place, light fittings changed out, hand railings installed, non-slip stair protectors installed?
