Today we’d like to introduce you to Diane Hazimi.
Hi Diane, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
Nursing has always been a true passion of mine. In 2007, my beloved father passed away after an unexpected heart attack that led to a year-long battle with cancer. During that time, I became one of his caregivers—an experience that profoundly shaped who I am today. That journey ignited a deep calling within me to become a nurse.
I have always wanted to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others—to offer comfort, compassion, and support to patients and their loved ones during their most vulnerable moments. I understand firsthand the impact a caregiver can have, because I remember what it felt like to be there for someone who needed me most.
With no prior college experience, I returned to school and began my education from the ground up as a single mother of two young children. While attending nursing school, I worked as a nurse aide at a local hospital. After graduating and successfully passing my boards, I accepted a position as an ICU nurse, where I proudly served until March 2025.
In 2023, a new passion emerged, as I began a mobile IV hydration business alongside my work in the hospital setting. Shortly afterward, I expanded my vision and rented a one-room studio where I could merge both passions—providing skilled nursing care while helping individuals feel more confident by enhancing their natural beauty. My goal has always been to help people feel confident, empowered, and comfortable in their own skin.
In 2025, I knew it was time for growth and greater opportunity. I had quickly outgrown a small studio and was ready to expand into a larger space. Today, that vision has become a reality. I now work alongside a dedicated team who share the same passion for excellence, offering multiple treatment rooms and creating a space designed to foster comfort, confidence, and safety.
I am proud to have built this business independently. As a second-generation woman raised on the sacrifices, resilience, and unwavering faith of my parents, I carry forward a legacy of perseverance and purpose. As a veiled Muslim leader, I stand confidently in my identity—breaking barriers, challenging stereotypes, and proving that strength and compassion can coexist. I am especially grateful to work alongside my daughters—both registered nurses—as we deliver care rooted in professionalism, empathy, and excellence.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
This journey has never been easy—far from it. As a single mother with two toddlers and no formal educational background, there were moments of exhaustion, uncertainty, and quiet doubt. There were sacrifices that no one saw, late nights that tested my strength, and decisions that required faith over fear. Every step came with its own set of challenges—but each obstacle only made the outcome that much more meaningful.
I kept my eyes on the vision and stayed grounded in my purpose. Even when the path felt uncertain, I reminded myself why I started. Starting from the ground up was not a disadvantage—it was my foundation. The struggle did not break me; it built me. It strengthened my resilience, sharpened my discipline, and deepened my gratitude for every single milestone along the way.
Growth requires courage. Success demands sacrifice. And purpose requires perseverance. I learned that setbacks are not failures—they are lessons. Delays are not denials—they are preparation. Every hardship shaped me into the leader, caregiver, and businesswoman I am today.
If there is one thing I have learned, it is this: never give up on your goals. No matter where you begin, no matter how impossible it may seem, your starting point does not determine your destiny. Dream boldly. Dream without limitation. And most importantly, pursue those dreams with unwavering determination, faith, and heart.
The journey may test you—but it will also transform you. And when you look back, you will realize that every struggle was preparing you for something greater than you ever imagined.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Drips on the Glow Med Spa is a nurse-owned and operated medical spa founded on compassionate, high-quality care. Our mission is to help people feel their best—inside and out—by blending clinical expertise with personalized aesthetic and wellness services. We offer a comprehensive range of treatments designed to enhance natural beauty while supporting overall health, confidence, and long-term skin vitality.
Our services include IV hydration therapy and wellness infusions, wrinkle relaxers, dermal fillers, and biostimulators to restore and enhance facial balance. We specialize in advanced laser technologies such as CO₂ skin resurfacing, Morpheus8, IPL laser treatments, and laser hair removal to address skin texture, tone, aging concerns, and unwanted hair. In addition, we provide customized facials and regenerative approaches that focus on skin renewal, collagen stimulation, and overall rejuvenation.
What truly sets us apart is our strong medical foundation and patient-first approach. With years of experience in critical care nursing, safety, education, and individualized treatment planning are at the core of everything we do. We take the time to listen, assess, and tailor each treatment to our clients’ unique needs rather than offering a one-size-fits-all experience. Our space is intentionally designed to feel warm, welcoming, and safe—more like a calming retreat than a traditional medical setting.
Brand-wise, I am most proud of building a business rooted in trust, integrity, and empowerment. Drips on the Glow is not just about aesthetics; it is about helping clients feel confident in their own skin, supporting their wellness journeys, and delivering care that is both professional and heartfelt. When clients walk through our doors, they are met by passionate, skilled professionals who genuinely strive to make a positive difference in their lives.
We love surprises, fun facts and unexpected stories. Is there something you can share that might surprise us?
Something that may surprise people is how much of Drips on the Glow Med Spa was built completely from the ground up—with no prior business background—just passion, determination, and a deep desire to help others.
I returned to school to earn my Master’s in Nursing and become a Nurse Practitioner, all while balancing family life. My two daughters are nurses as well, and I’m incredibly grateful for the unwavering support of my husband and extended family, who have stood beside me through every chapter of this journey.
What truly drives me, however, is a promise I made to my beloved father before his passing—to dedicate my life to helping others in meaningful ways. That promise fuels me every single day.
Behind this brand is a woman who has faced challenges, worn many hats, and persevered through every season of growth. From balancing life as an ICU nurse to raising two amazing daughters as a single parent, every part of this business has been shaped by lived experience, resilience, and heart. It was built not only from a love of aesthetics, but from a genuine commitment to care, connection, and helping people feel confident, supported, and truly seen.
In 2025, Drips on the Glow Med Spa was honored to win the award for Best Medical Spa in Dearborn Heights. This recognition is a true reflection of the trust our community places in us and the heart we pour into every client experience.
