Hi Anton Holloway – Koffee Noir Productions LLC., it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
Koffee Noir Productions LLC was born out of a shared vision among a small but determined group of diverse filmmakers across Metro Detroit who felt that the stories we grew up with—the voices, struggles, humor, and beauty of our communities—were rarely represented on screen in an honest or compelling way. Coming from different neighborhoods, cultures, and creative disciplines, we were united not by a single background, but by the same hunger to create films and visual content that felt personal, authentic, and emotionally real. What started as conversations about movies, late-night script ideas, and small collaborative shoots gradually evolved into a formal production company built on trust, friendship, and a commitment to storytelling that reflects the overlooked corners of our experiences. At its core, Koffee Noir Productions is fueled by a deep passion for entertainment and the art of visual and written storytelling, with every project driven by the belief that meaningful, diverse stories deserve to be seen, heard, and felt by audiences everywhere.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Starting a brand new media production company from scratch has come with real challenges, especially in building our brand identity from the ground up and securing consistent funding for the projects we believe in. Despite these early obstacles, we remain confident that with persistence, collaboration, and strong storytelling, Koffee Noir Productions will continue to grow and prosper.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
Our experience and diverse backgrounds enable us to tell stories that audiences might not expect, bringing fresh perspectives and authentic voices to every project we take on. We specialize in narrative short and feature-length films, as well as brand commercials, documentaries, and interview-based content that blends cinematic style with meaningful storytelling. What we’re most proud of is the creative family and group of collaborators we’ve assembled through Koffee Noir Productions, and we’re excited to continue building and growing with that community in the years ahead.
What’s next?
Even though we’re starting from scratch, we’re proud of the progress we’ve made so far and the strong creative foundation we’ve begun to build. As we continue to grow, our goal is to take on larger, more ambitious projects while expanding our network of collaborators and supporters. We’re excited about the future and look forward to steadily scaling up our productions into bigger films, commercials, and storytelling opportunities.
