Today we’d like to introduce you to Amanda Zelley.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Hello! My name is Amanda and I’m the owner of Zellevated Designs, a custom balloon decor and flower wall, along with floral arch company. We officially hit the ground running in March of 2024. I’ve always had a creative side and first started exploring the art of balloon decor 5 years ago for my oldest daughter’s first birthday. That rapidly evolved into decorating for multiple family and friend’s events. I have always had a deep rooted passion for being present for others during their most memorable moments. As an ER nurse for over a decade, I’ve seen people at their lowest and their highest moments. The pandemic reaffirmed how quickly things can change in life and how important it is to cherish every milestone we experience. I stepped back from nursing to be home with my three young children, and with all the support from my amazing husband, I took a leap and started my company. With each display, I am honored to help bring each and every one of my client’s visions to life.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Owning a small business has been no small feat. I am continually learning and growing both in my artistic skillset along with business aspects throughout each challenge I face. Like Nelson Mandela said, “It always seems impossible until it’s done”. I have moments of self doubt but seeing the way my client’s, along with my own children, light up after experiencing my art, that is what continually pushes me towards success.

At Zellevated Designs, we offer every shape and size of balloon decor from columns, garlands, arches, sculptures, walls, bouquets, to unique gifts and numerous backdrop displays. We also offer 4 different 8 foot by 8 foot silk flower walls, a newly arrived all white feather wall and 3 different silk floral and greenery arches that create a breathtaking experience. Our creativity and passion elevate every event into unforgettable moments. We’re located in Fenton, MI, and service all surround areas.
What has been the most important lesson you’ve learned along your journey?
I’ve learned how important is it to cherish every second that we are given. Life comes and goes faster than we realize. It is so incredibly important to full heartily embrace life’s most memorable moments for ourselves and those around us. I have also learned how important it is to be “happy in your work” as my grandmother says. Bringing my client’s visions to life and having them relive those feelings through photos and videos makes me endlessly happy. I love what I do and the sky is never the limit with balloons.
