Today we’d like to introduce you to Corri Riebow.
Corri, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I started making jewelry as a hobby when my daughter was a baby and my husband worked out of town. My friends and co-workers wanted what I was making and Paris Creek Jewelry was born.
My craft has evolved over the years and I am so grateful for my customers and custom clients who have supported me on this journey.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It can be a challenge to juggle everything. I’m a wife, mom, grandma, hobby farmer/homesteader and was elected as a township clerk in 2023. There is never a dull moment here and I am definitely never bored.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I create earthy and rustic jewelry made with natural treasures for the free-spirit, seeking beauty, not perfection on their journey through life.
I love working with natural stones and often collect my own along the beaches of Michigan. Copper is my go-to metal and it’s warmth pairs perfectly with the stones I use. I do enjoy work with sterling silver as well, but always find myself reaching for copper first.
I love working with multiple jewelry techniques including metal stamping, wire wrapped and metal smithing.
Do you have recommendations for books, apps, blogs, etc?
Metalsmith Society has been a wonderful resource!
