Savanna Reed shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.
Good morning Savanna , we’re so happy to have you here with us and we’d love to explore your story and how you think about life and legacy and so much more. So let’s start with a question we often ask: What’s more important to you—intelligence, energy, or integrity?
Integrity, for me, will always win. Energy can come and go and intelligence is subjective but the ability to remain honest and true to who you are is what will keep people staying loyal and true to you.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Savanna Reed, I am the Founder of Creatively Savvy Co. and YSF (Young, Saved, and Filled). I create Logos, Resumes, Websites, T-Shirts, Business Cards and Flyers. I’m the person people come to when they have a vision that they need to be brought to life. I also created a Faith Based Groupchat for young believers from all over the world to be able to connect, fellowship, help to push, inspire and grow in faith.
Appreciate your sharing that. Let’s talk about your life, growing up and some of topics and learnings around that. Who saw you clearly before you could see yourself?
My mom. I remember as a child that my mother would always pour into me. She would consistently tell me and remind me of how smart, beautiful and intelligent I am. She would tell me that I could do ALL things as the Bible says and I took that with me as I became an adult.
If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
Do not let people despise you for your youth. Being talented and gifted so young made it very discouraging to succeed when so many think that age = intelligence, however, that varies from person to person and based on an individual’s circumstance. I would love to go back and let my younger self know that no matter what they said or thought about you based on your appearance that does not determine your value.
So a lot of these questions go deep, but if you are open to it, we’ve got a few more questions that we’d love to get your take on. Is the public version of you the real you?
Honestly, there are many layers and dimensions to the real me. Some people only know me from a business/professional standpoint, others through ministry, some from schooling and some know the me that likes to listen to music all night and relax. All are me but depending on our interaction determines which dimension of “me” you encounter.
Before we go, we’d love to hear your thoughts on some longer-run, legacy type questions. What is the story you hope people tell about you when you’re gone?
I truly hope people tell the story of how I perservered. No matter what I encountered or went through I never gave up, I may have been pushed down but I got back up on my own and continued. I did what needed to be done at all times and I did not let anyone stop me from doing what I needed to do.
