Today we’d like to introduce you to Stephanie Stringer.
Hi Stephanie, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I am Stephanie, a woman of Faith, Mom, HR professional, entrepreneur, and soon-to-be graduate student, pursuing my Master’s in Mental Health Counseling. I’m driven by God, creativity, passion, and a love for all things outdoors, love-centered, and Detroit.
Luxe & Roses was birthed during the 2020 pandemic. With restaurants closed, I wanted to celebrate my 7th wedding anniversary in a special way, so I created a candlelit backyard dinner under the stars. It was such a hit that it inspired me to help others celebrate with the same level of beauty and intention. With picnics rising in popularity, I took a leap and launched Luxe & Roses in June 2021.
For the past four years, we’ve brought elevated, luxurious picnic experiences to homes, waterfronts, beautiful communities, and local and state parks. We’ve been honored to serve clients looking for a unique and meaningful way to celebrate life’s most memorable occasions.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Overall it has been a smooth road. Luxe and Roses has been truly blessed, however one of our biggest challenges has been making Luxe & Roses a year-round business. We thrive in the summer and during the holidays, but the winter months bring a noticeable slowdown. We’ve explored expanding into an event space which we have found no success so far. We even introduced “picnic-on-the-go” gift boxes, but consistent marketing and promotion has been a hurdle, which limits our ability to scale the way we envision.
I do have a team that supports me on event days, but all the day-to-day operations such as marketing and content creating, falls on me, which can be challenging to manage while also trying to grow the business.
We’ve been impressed with Luxe and Roses LLC, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Luxe & Roses creates elevated, luxury picnic experiences where clients simply show up and enjoy. We handle the full set-up whether on the waterfront, in a park, at home, or in a hotel, and return afterward for complete clean-up.
Our décor is carefully curated for each color scheme and crafted to feel top-tier and unforgettable. Professionalism, timeliness, and exceptional customer service are the foundation of our brand.
What makes me most proud is how our picnics make our clients feel. Many have been moved to tears, and often share that the photos don’t compare to the real experience. Those moments remind me why this is my passion and I love what I do.
We’re also relaunching our Picnics in a Box, designed for unforgettable date nights at home. Each box includes carefully chosen elements to help couples create a beautiful, intimate experience. We plan to expand into self-care and holiday-themed boxes, including Mother’s Day.
At Luxe & Roses, we’re all about love, beauty, and luxury. Celebrating life’s greatest occasions; Anniversaries, gender reveals, girls nights, bridal showers, birthdays etc. Our goal is for every client to walk away with a memorable and meaningful experience.
