Hi Saint , thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
It took a unbelievable amount of healing for me to be the person I am today it’s cliche to say this I know but it’s true. I still have a trek ahead of me if I’m lucky enough to survive these trials of refinement I’m enduring currently. It’s hard to be positive when you don’t have to be. And you could be paid handsomely to be part of the problem and not the solution. Once you’ve had a slice of the devil’s pie and you were indeed raised off of it then it makes life all the more challenging. But I’m glad to still have written three great books, been a part of 35 out of 43 winning political campaigns, and most of the time I was compensated and had a leadship role as well. Cinema is not out of the question I was actually contacted in 2023 by a Hollywood filmmaker/producer concerning my article I wrote on my uncle’s life using Vocal’s platform the article is called “The First Black Godfather of Detroit” it’s a synopsis of the life of my uncle a raw and chillingly true story.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
As I said early the road has not been smooth at all. And it never will be. The better or worse I do for myself it’s like more people find a reason to be against me rather I know they exist, former friend, or once a personal hero like many of the mentors that I no longer utilize. Once you don’t need people to teach you how life works anymore it can morph into resentment and is taken as disrespect even if that is far from the case as concerning my circumstances. Being supported in person and ignored as much as possible via social media platforms is odd. It feels like people are waiting for me to die before can say they appreciate the zeal, strategy, critical thinking, and creativity I bring.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
Professionally I’m many things for the substance of money. But what I’m best at is poetry as well as writing. I love to express myself with truthful words. God is intentional I’m a licensed applicator and lawn specialist for Trugreen. I was the star employee of their store for the month of September my birth month. I have clients lawns in the suburbs and in urban areas looking very Kentucky bluish. I said that to say once I’m given a fair fade I always rise to the top like cream over coffee because that’s what the truly anointed do.
How do you define success?
Success is subjective and it’s bias for each person. I believe success is doing a great commission for Jesus and it being successful. I want to be able to loved by a woman in a spiritual way. And if that ever happens you’re one of the most successful people alive. Having money and not being happy is the same as being in hell with a air conditioning system on. So in short, true love is real success to me it doesn’t fade out.
