Conversations with Loose TheKing

Today we’d like to introduce you to Loose TheKing.

Hi Loose, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I’m Loose TheKing from Hampton, VA. Born into a music family, I started at the age of 7 years old. Looking up to an older cousin “Smoke The Immortal”, who’s basically my older brother I picked up rapping. As the years grew so did my rap skills the older I got the better I became. A group was later formed by myself and two of my cousins Nytryta & Akadis, we called ourselves “Vicious Circle”, thus began a dedicated passion to pursue a music career. By graduation our first album was completed, life began to life and we eventually pursued separate paths becoming individual artists. A year later I dropped my first solo project entitled “Too Late I’m Here”. While working on my sophomore album things took a turn, my youngest brother Peezy180, myself, my cousins Smoke The Immortal, Big Beast, Shellz 180, & V-Dot became a group known as S.O.G. (Same Ol Gang) which is basically self explanatory, we all grew up together and was always around each rapping. It was destiny until things took an unfortunate turn when the face of our group became incarcerated. We didn’t have a leader anymore so I stepped up to keep relevance, most of the team lost motivation and I had to branch out. I began another journey on the side, I created my own label “Loose Entertainment” in affiliation with S.O.G. keeping our team alive while working on new upcoming artist. “Chachi Monroe” was my first artist I signed, a young talented female rapper just getting started. I then discovered my 7 year old daughter at the time “Mini Dbl O” who later changed her name to “Big Mini”, a really talented kid with the gift to mimick my abilities with rapping. My third artist became my fiance “Angel Monique” a singer with the abilities to rap as well. This began a new journey, with my old team still in my corner and my new team to embrace the next upcoming artist. We moved to Detroit, MI where we really started taking off. I started making waves in a short amount of time opening the door for my artists. Adding more members to my team I knew I was on to something. I found artist to join my team in Detroit, artist like “Bossred”, “Call Me C.T.G.”, “3B BabyTez,” “Promo Ys” & “Lady Bank”. I later added “Smoke The Immortal” & “V-Dot” to this team as well my oldest son “Tay Staakz ” in Florida. I’m always looking for new talent to join, just like my latest recruit “Drefoeluv”. With so much more to come it’s fair to say Loose Entertainment is growing and will be around for a long time. I, Loose TheKing am very proud of the journey I’ve been thru and looking forward of what’s to come.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Road was rough, losing friends and family members to gang violence or death by illness. Times were hard I had to hustle for everything.
