Today we’d like to introduce you to Brittany Adams.
Hi Brittany, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
HKK is my baby! Going 5 years strong we have made it through some storms. From selling out of our trunk to being invited to pop-up shops to hosting our own fashion shows we can honestly say that we have made some serious changes. HKK stands firmly on quality and we are looking forward to where it will lead us.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Obstacles? We have most definitely encountered some obstacles, with one of the main ones being VENDORS! Having a clothing brand, vendors is such a cliche statement. So, lets go in detail lol. From finding a reliable vendor(decent shipping times, quality pieces, and a well communicative representative) to having the proper space to hold all of my pieces to paying bills that can at times seems unnecessary would naturally cause a headache. Did I forgot work/life balance? Me having small kids when we started was the start of a never ending struggle, business is demanding, kids are demanding and life is demanding. Its almost impossible to pick a struggle. But like most things that you actually want, its always going to come with a struggle
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
“I am your favorite IT chic”. Recently, this has been my favorite phrase because its true. Being in technology for so long I can officially say that I am your professional IT person. I also specialize in creativity, at least thats what Ive always heard. Me on the otherhand I just do what I like, what comes to mind and whats convenient for me and it seems to work and be profitable for me. I am proud that I have persevered because the road it took for me to actually get here was rough!
We are all different in a certain way but me in the simplest way, I am Brittany Wise- Adams. My name holds weight because I have been solid since the beginning and I plan to continue to do so
Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
DISCIPLINE! STRATEGIZE! FOCUS! TAKE BREAKS WHEN YOU NEED TO!
