Today we’d like to introduce you to Demargeo White.
Hi Demargeo, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
It all started back in 2019 I had this simple idea to provide cheesecakes to local restaurants and other establishments. By this time I already had 9 years of experience in the food industry which was in cooking I figured switching to baking wouldn’t be that hard. I started off baking cheesecakes in the kitchen at home and by June of 2020 I was looking for a commercial kitchen to call home.
I named the business after our first son Houston “Huey”. I wanted the business name to be unique and stand out from everyone else. Over the next few years I worked on perfecting my craft making sure that I was providing a high quality product to the community.
I attended local event as a food vendor showcasing our cheesecake which became pretty popular overtime. Fast forward we have our products in 9 locations within 3 cities which I think is pretty good if you ask me.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road I’m talking long nights, early mornings, It days & nights I wanted to quit so bad like, “Why are you even doing this?” I wasn’t hanging with friends, I was missing family events. I’m pretty much had to isolate myself from everything and everyone because I wanted this to work that bad. I was selling myself so short just to get my name out there so I wasn’t even making a profit the first few years.

Here at Huey D’s Goodies we specialize in gourmet cheesecake products. I believe what helps us stand out from other companies in the area that also do cheesecakes is the flavors that we offer and our presentation of our products. We offer some unique flavors like strawberry crunch, butter pecan, cosmic crunch, cookie monster and white chocolate raspberry just to name a few. What I love most about my brand is the it speaks family, Unity and togetherness. My brand is focused around my family. This is why I want this so badly because I want to leave something behind for our kids and my grandchildren. Like I said before we focus on gourmet cheesecake products we’re available for all different types of catering from weddings, office parties, baby showers, engagement parties, family functions etc. . .
What matters most to you? Why?
What matters the most to me is that I get to show our kids that your dreams can really come true if you’re willing to put in the work. Hopefully i inspire them to chase their dreams.
