Today we’d like to introduce you to Eileen Miles.
Hi Eileen, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I was only twelve when I began struggling with how I felt about my body. It was the first time I believed something was “wrong” with me because of how I looked. That pain, though difficult, started my path of healing. Yoga and meditation provided a safe space in which I could meet myself with compassion and, ultimately, led me on the most important journey of all: the journey inward. Now, I see myself in a new light. I’m able to catch negative self-talk, and I know my body is the least interesting thing about me. I’ve learned to notice my inner critic and, instead, connect with my inner friend.
Today, I’m an Intuitive Meditation Guide on the leading meditation app, Insight Timer, and a 500-hour registered yoga instructor. Born and raised in Michigan, I spent three years traveling across the U.S. in a converted van with my husband and our Australian Shepherd before settling into a tiny home. Those adventures taught me that home isn’t just a place — it’s the peace we carry within. A calm, grounded, and steady state is always accessible.
Now, my greatest passion is helping others discover that same inner peace and acceptance through meditation. And beyond that, through my Virtual Meditation Teacher Training, I’m dedicated to creating more Intuitive Meditation Guides by supporting people like you with finding their voice, trusting their presence, and confidently sharing meditation with others.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It definitely has not been a smooth road! Growth and the evolution of my career has not been linear… AND at the same time, I wouldn’t be where I am today without every single movement I’ve ever made.
For three years, my husband, our dog Sadie, and I lived life on the road in a camper van, traveling across the entire United States and visiting every state except Hawaii (!!) The experience was more than just many, many miles on the road…it was a profound journey of presence, adaptability, and self-trust.
When we first hit the road, I had a part time job all while I was still striving to grow my meditation impact. It got to the point where the company I was working for didn’t want me to do all that I was doing on the side. They wanted me to be more involved in the growth of their company. It ended up being nothing like I thought it would be and I saw it as a sign it was time to go ALL IN into my meditation career. That meant I was taking time to build more trust and more of a following while not making that much money…
Leaving that job and choosing to go all in was both terrifying and liberating. Doubt and imposter syndrome came rushing in, but so did something deeper… a knowing that this was exactly where I was meant to be. And with every uncertain step forward, I built the life and the work I once only dreamed of.
Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about The Intuitive Guide?
I am an Intuitive Meditation Guide and Meditation Teacher Training Facilitator.
Being an Intuitive Meditation Guide means leading others in meditation by tuning into your own awareness, presence, and inner guidance rather than relying solely on scripts, formulas, or rules.
For me, this way of leading didn’t happen overnight. It grew from years of deepening my own meditation practice, listening to my inner voice, and learning to trust the subtle messages that arise in each moment. This is where the magic happens: When we fully embody presence, we become a vessel that shares exactly the message someone needs in that moment.
You don’t need to be perfect — you just need to be present. It’s not about teaching what we think is right, but about allowing the meditation to emerge naturally, holding space, and guiding from intuition and heart.
So, you’ll find me leading intuitively on the leading meditation app called Insight Timer. I lead weekly live meditations and upload new meditations weekly.

How do you think about happiness?
So many things make me happy! I truly believe that is because meditation and mindfulness has helped me learn how to pay attention and see the good. One of my favorite mantras is “when you focus on the good, the good grows.”
Seeing other people step into their light and share their voice makes me so happy and proud.
Being present with the love of my life, exploring the world and traveling makes me feel so joyful.
Choosing to be here for my life and not miss the little moments of connection with a stranger, or my incredible friends, and loving family is really what brings so much gratitude to my heart.
