We’re looking forward to introducing you to Mary Piasecki. Check out our conversation below.
Mary, we’re thrilled to have you with us today. Before we jump into your intro and the heart of the interview, let’s start with a bit of an ice breaker: Have any recent moments made you laugh or feel proud?
One recent moment that made me feel proud was finishing our birth worker conference. After months of planning, seeing people actually show up, connect, and be encouraged was incredibly fulfilling. Watching the vision come to life and knowing lives were impacted made every late night and prayer worth it.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m Mary — a pastor’s wife, homeschool mom, and birth worker. My heart is rooted in faith, family, and community. While being a doula is a gift and something I deeply love, it’s not my whole world. My greatest focus is on raising and homeschooling my kids and pouring into our thriving young adult ministry. I’m passionate about encouraging others to walk in their God-given callings and create spaces where families and communities can flourish.
Alongside that, I run a doula business where I support families through pregnancy, birth, and postpartum with calm, compassionate care. On social media, I love sharing about family life, homeschooling, and my work as a doula — connecting with moms and building community along the way.
Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. Who saw you clearly before you could see yourself?
The first One who saw me clearly—long before I ever understood my worth—was Jesus. He saw me at my lowest, my messiest, my most unsure, and loved me fully. He didn’t just see who I was; He saw who I could become in Him. While I was still lost in sin, He gave His life for me. That’s the beauty of the Gospel — that Jesus came, lived the perfect life I couldn’t live, died the death I deserved, and rose again so I could walk in freedom and purpose. He called me His before I even knew who I was.
And right behind Him is my husband — my biggest cheerleader. He has always spoken life over me, believed in me, and reminded me who I am when I start to forget. He’s the steady voice that says “you can do this” when I want to shrink back. I’m so grateful that the Lord not only saved me but also gave me someone to walk this life beside me, encouraging me every step of the way.
If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
If I could say one kind thing to my younger self, it would be this: It’s all going to be okay. The weight you’re carrying isn’t yours to hold forever. Anxiety doesn’t equal control — it’s not your job to figure everything out. Breathe. Trust. READ your Bible!!
Sure, so let’s go deeper into your values and how you think. Is the public version of you the real you?
Yes. What you see is what you get. I’ve walked through too much to wear a mask. The public version of me is the same person at home —I’m far from perfect, but I try to show up honestly, whether that’s online, in ministry, or in my everyday lifE.
Okay, so let’s keep going with one more question that means a lot to us: What will you regret not doing?
What I’ll regret most is missing the moments with my kids and the people I love—things I can never get back. The little everyday stuff, the milestones, the laughter, the chaos. I can’t be on call for everything, all the time. That’s why I build safety nets into my work—so I can say yes to weddings and still be fully present for my kids’ birthdays, for the young adults I’ve poured into for years, for the moments in life that actually matter. If I don’t, I’ll burn out trying to do it all—and my whole life will pass me by while I’m busy chasing everything else.
