We’re looking forward to introducing you to Malika Williams. Check out our conversation below.

Malika, it’s always a pleasure to learn from you and your journey. Let’s start with a bit of a warmup: What are you most proud of building — that nobody sees?
Building me has been a continuous roller coaster — but I wouldn’t have it any other way.

I’ve been building my mental capacity to stay open to new perspectives. Building the strength to see the good in situations that were meant to break me. Building, learning, and adjusting to be better than I was the day before.

I’m proud that I never gave up — that I’ve turned my personal experiences into opportunities to inspire and uplift others with love and authenticity. I’m proud to have transformed my pain into passion.

The growth has been incredible, and I’m deeply thankful for the journey and the opportunity to keep becoming the best version of myself.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Malika Williams, and I’m the proud founder of The L.I.V.E Outreach, which stands for Learning while Innovating Valiant Extraordinary people. The L.I.V.E Outreach is more than just a program — it’s a movement built on love, community, and empowerment.

Our mission is to create opportunities for youth and families to grow through mentorship, education, and hands-on experiences that encourage leadership, creativity, and confidence. What makes our organization special is the heart behind it — every program, event, and conversation is rooted in helping people see their value and live with purpose.

My own journey of growth, challenges, and transformation inspired me to start The L.I.V.E Outreach. I wanted to turn my experiences into something that could uplift others — especially young people who just need someone to believe in them and show them what’s possible.

Looking ahead, our biggest project for 2026 is securing a 14-passenger bus to expand our reach and safely transport youth to programs, community events, and learning experiences. This will allow us to impact even more lives — but we can’t do it alone. We need all the help and support we can get to make this dream a reality!

The growth so far has been incredible, and I’m deeply thankful for everyone who continues to support and believe in our mission. Together, we’re building extraordinary people and brighter futures — one step, one child, and one community at a time.

Great, so let’s dive into your journey a bit more. What was your earliest memory of feeling powerful?
Honestly, I’ve felt powerful for as long as I can remember. I’ve always been someone who doesn’t mind making sacrifices for those who are more vulnerable or in need. To me, power comes in many forms — it’s about knowing how to use it in the right way, whether that’s leading, supporting, or speaking my truth.

I’ve also always had a natural ability to connect with people, creating a space where they feel comfortable and safe. Because of that, I often found myself stepping into the role of leadership among my friends and in my community.

When did you stop hiding your pain and start using it as power?
I believe that many times, when you make certain decisions in life, people try to hold you back from growing because they’ve already categorized you and put you in a box. But actions speak volumes. I’ve always wanted to give back to kids like me — that desire sparked the birth of The L.I.V.E Outreach.

I began by volunteering as a mentor at Vista Maria, and from there, I kept taking on more responsibilities and organizing events. I’m pursuing my dream of connecting with the community, not just as an advocate, but as someone who provides real solutions — being the change I want to see in the world.

Sure, so let’s go deeper into your values and how you think. Is the public version of you the real you?
Yes, the public version is the real me. I don’t desire to be anyone else but myself. I have the freedom to show my authentic, unique side—embracing my flaws and allowing them to become life lessons that shape and strengthen who I am as a person.

Okay, so let’s keep going with one more question that means a lot to us: What will you regret not doing?
Pushing myself beyond my limits, I believe I can accomplish anything I set my mind to with consistency. Creating meaningful programs, engaging with the community, and building lasting relationships are what matter most to me.

My biggest regret would be to have NEVER TRIED to pursue my passions.
