We’re looking forward to introducing you to Detroit Zeusd. Check out our conversation below.
Good morning Detroit, we’re so happy to have you here with us and we’d love to explore your story and how you think about life and legacy and so much more. So let’s start with a question we often ask: What do the first 90 minutes of your day look like?
My mornings set the tone for everything. First thing, I drink a full glass of water — that’s like hitting the reset button. Then I make a clean breakfast, take my vitamins, and stretch to wake my body up. I treat those first 90 minutes like a quiet meeting with myself before the world starts calling. Once I’m centered, I dive into emails and business — mind clear, energy right.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Detroit Zeus — I’m an artist, creator, and the energy behind Street RnB. I represent the ones who came from the city but dream like the world is theirs. My music lives in that space between R&B and raw reality — it’s smooth, it’s street, and it’s got heart.
Being from Detroit — it’s a lifestyle. It’s about showing that you can be cultured, stylish, and still carry that grit that raised you. Beyond the music, I connect directly with my fans, behind-the-scenes access, and direct connection — because independence is power. Right now I’m focused on developing the full Detroit Zeus experience — music, fashion, visuals, all orbiting around one idea: turning authenticity into art.
Okay, so here’s a deep one: What was your earliest memory of feeling powerful?
My first real memory of feeling powerful was the moment I realized I could turn My life into expression. Writing lyrics about things I didn’t even fully understand yet — but somehow, when I said them out loud, they hit different. That was the first time I felt like I had something nobody could take from me. It wasn’t about control or fame — it was about finding my voice. That’s when I knew power wasn’t about being loud… it was about being heard.
What did suffering teach you that success never could?
Suffering taught me things success never could — patience, resilience, and how to love myself even when life ain’t clapping for me. When you go through real pain, you learn what’s real and what’s for show. Success feels good, but suffering shows you your character. It teaches you to create from truth, not ego. Every scar gave me a lyric, every setback built my sound. Without the struggle, there wouldn’t be any soul in what I do — it’s the pain that made the purpose.
Sure, so let’s go deeper into your values and how you think. Is the public version of you the real you?
The public version of me is real — it’s just not the whole story. What people see is Detroit Zeus, the Ghetto Superstar — the confidence, the style, the energy. That’s me, no cap. But there’s also the quiet version of me, the one that’s always thinking, creating, trying to grow. I just choose to share the parts that inspire people the most. The truth is, every version of me is real — I just let the world see the one that reminds them they can be legendary too.
Okay, so let’s keep going with one more question that means a lot to us: If you knew you had 10 years left, what would you stop doing immediately?
If I knew I had ten years left, I’d stop doing anything that doesn’t feed my spirit or move the mission forward. No more overthinking, no more waiting for “the right time.” I’d stop dimming myself to make other people comfortable. I’d spend every day creating, loving, and living bold — the way I was meant to. Because truth is, we act like we got forever, but legacy don’t wait. I’d rather leave art behind than regrets.
