Meet the co-owners: Maryellen Werstine and Jenny Clasman
This dynamic duo met in 2018 and had an instant spark that lit the flames that would become Boyne City’s massage and wellness studio.
They are both passionate about health and wellness, and helping their community live more enriched lives. Together they offer mentorship’s to young massage therapists and estheticians, create community experiences, and build treatment plans to ensure our clients sustainable results.
Maryellen is a licensed Massage Therapist, licensed Esthetician and life and leadership coach through IPEC. She has over 27 years experience and holds a national certification in massage therapy.
Jenny is a licensed massage therapist and certified barefoot massage specialist. She has 10 years of experience in massage and also brings a degree in business and administration to further help the studio thrive .
Both women are here to help you, encourage you and sometimes hold you accountable on your wellness journey.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It has been challenging finding licensed massage therapists and estheticians over the years. Some of our therapists were driving over an hour to come to work. The housing shortage, we believe, is the biggest obstacle to our growth. We also have run into the situation out growing our space and having trouble finding a larger location in the same area. We are currently fully staffed with 8 employees plus the 2 of us. Have have 5 treatment rooms and a relaxation lounge. But we are stagnant on growth until we can find a larger location.

Our MISSION is to provide quality, results driven wellness remedies to heal your body, mind and soul. We specialize in intuitive holistic massage, therapeutic deep tissue bodywork, rejuvenating anti-aging facials and restorative wellness tools.
Our studio is a quiet welcoming space where you are encouraged to relax, rest and just be. From the moment you walk in, there is calming energy in our lobby is known for drawing you in and quieting your mind. Our skilled practitioners go above and beyond to deliver a stellar experience that creates positive change. We take the time to nurture a strong therapeutic relationship so you can heal and restore your health. Above all, our goal is to provide a safe space for to you relax, heal, and be yourself with out judgment or demands.
What sets us apart from other wellness studios is a large staff of gifted healers mean we can accommodate large groups. Also our service menu is vast again because we have so many practicing massage therapists and estheticians in one place. It’s a one stop shop and we tailor everything we do for our local community. We love tourists too but our focus is always on our locals .
What do you like best about our city? What do you like least?
We love the lake being right in downtown boyne city and ALL the EVENTS the city has year round. Boyne city is a booming little town and it really shows . I wish there were more affordable housing and more commercial space
