Today we’d like to introduce you to Taylor Dey-Harter.
Hi Taylor, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
My photography journey started in 2015, right out of high school! My neighbor was a photographer and helped me get started by lending me a camera, and I eventually bought my first personal camera after my graduation! In the beginning, I focused only on seniors and smaller family sessions, but after mentoring right after covid, I realized just how much I loved weddings and boudoir! From there I have continued to grow simply through word of mouth and recommendations from previous clients! I now average at about 20 weddings per year, and am loving every second of it!
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
For the most part, the road to where I am has been great! I have amazing clients, some who have become like family.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I specialize in boudoir, couples, and wedding photography! I am most proud of not only my growth over the years, but the community I have built through photography! I build personal relationships with my clients and try to be more personable. As said before, I see this as a community, not just a job!
In terms of your work and the industry, what are some of the changes you are expecting to see over the next five to ten years?
With AI being a big thing, things are definitely changing! Although, I think most people still prefer REAL photos, so I don’t see a decline at all! Personally, I am planning to slow down a bit, and only take on weddings in the coming years, as my family grew by one and im soaking in all the early years!
Pricing:
- Wedding Packages start at $2500 and range up to $3500
- Elopement Packages start at $1000
- My most common session is a 30 minute which is $200!
