Today we’d like to introduce you to Jared Autrey.
Hi Jared, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
My journey has always been about creativity and connection. I’m Jared Autrey, and I own Frxsco Graphic Designs and Frxsco Dance Sessions—two businesses that grew out of my need to channel my artistic passion into something meaningful, whether through design or choreography. It’s about more than just work for me; it’s about bringing people together through what I love.
With more than 15 years of Graphic Design Experience, Frxsco Graphic Designs was started as a way to explore my creative side while providing visual work that people could connect with. What began as a personal project turned into a full-fledged business as I got to work with more clients and see my designs come to life. I always aim to create designs that speak to people, that go beyond just looking good and resonate with their unique needs.
Dance has always been a big part of my life, with over 20 years of experience I wanted to give back to the community in a way that made sense. That’s why in 2019, I founded Frxsco Dance Sessions. I saw there was a gap for dancers who had aged out of traditional studios but still wanted a place to grow, connect, and create. These sessions became a space for people to keep pushing themselves, no matter their age or experience. It’s been amazing to watch people find their flow again in a setting that’s all about growth and community.
I’ve been lucky to work with some amazing teams, studios, local community organizations, and schools, and every opportunity has helped me grow as an artist and collaborator. Whether I’m choreographing, performing, or mentoring, I’ve always aimed to bring something fresh to the table and challenge both myself and those I work with.
At the end of the day, everything I do is about collaboration and community. I want to create spaces where others can express themselves, grow, and be inspired. This journey is about creating opportunities and leaving behind a legacy of creativity, innovation, and connection.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road, and I wouldn’t expect it to be. Anything worth doing comes with its challenges. Early on, one of the biggest struggles was figuring out how to balance everything—juggling my business with my passion for dance, all while trying to grow and connect with the right people. It felt like there was always something more to do, and sometimes it was tough to prioritize or find time for both the creative and the business sides of things.
Another big challenge was building credibility and trust, especially when I was just starting out with Frxsco Dance Sessions. There was this pressure to prove that the idea could work, and sometimes, I wondered if I could really make it happen. But the moment I realized it wasn’t about doing everything perfectly—it was about showing up and doing the work—things started to click. It wasn’t about perfection, but passion and persistence.
I also faced moments of self-doubt, like everyone does. There were times when I questioned if I was on the right path, especially when the progress seemed slow or the feedback wasn’t what I expected. But those low moments helped me grow, learn, and figure out what I really wanted to bring to the table. The struggle to stay authentic while building something new and different pushed me to keep going, and eventually, it made the successes feel so much sweeter.
In the end, the struggles have been part of the journey, and I think they’ve only strengthened my connection to what I do. They’ve taught me patience, resilience, and the importance of staying true to my vision. It hasn’t been easy, but it’s been worth it.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I specialize in blending creativity with purpose through Frxsco Graphic Designs and Frxsco Dance Sessions. My design work focuses on creating custom visuals that connect deeply with clients, from branding to marketing materials. With Frxsco Dance Sessions, I provide a space for dancers—especially those who’ve aged out of traditional studios—to continue growing in a collaborative and inclusive environment.
I’m known for merging design and dance in unique ways, using both to tell stories that resonate. What I’m most proud of is the community I’ve built, where people come together, grow, and express themselves authentically.
What sets me apart is my focus on staying true to my vision and building genuine connections. I create work that’s not just about looking good, but about reflecting the people and stories behind it.
Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?
What makes me happy is seeing people connect with their creativity—whether it’s through a design I’ve crafted or watching a dancer find their flow. There’s something powerful about helping others express themselves authentically, and when I see that click, it brings me so much fulfillment. I also find happiness in the process of creation itself, when ideas evolve into something tangible, whether that’s a logo, a performance, or a community coming together.
I think happiness comes from knowing I’m making a real impact, building connections, and staying true to what drives me. It’s all about the moments where passion and purpose align, and that’s what keeps me grounded and motivated.
