Hi Sheri, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
My story really began with my own personal challenges. I live with mental health conditions that made it very hard for me to work in traditional office settings. The stress, noise, and lack of flexibility often became too much to manage, and I found myself struggling to stay employed even though I had the skills and motivation to work.

When I discovered remote work more than fifteen years ago, it completely changed my life. Working from home gave me the freedom and peace I needed to manage my mental health while still building a career I could be proud of. Over time, I gained valuable experience working with companies like Disney, Upwork, and Extendware, learning what makes remote work truly successful.

That experience inspired me to create Legit Work from Home LLC, a company built to help others who may face similar barriers. Our goal is to make remote work easier, safer, and more accessible for everyone, especially those living with mental health challenges or disabilities. Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Not at all, it has definitely not been a smooth road. Like most entrepreneurs, I have faced my share of challenges. Living with mental health conditions has always added another layer to the journey. There were days when anxiety and depression made it hard to focus or even believe that I was capable of building something meaningful. Learning to balance my own mental health while growing a business has been one of the biggest challenges but also one of the most rewarding lessons.

Another struggle was earning trust in a space that is filled with scams and false promises. When I first started Legit Work from Home, many people had already been burned by fake job listings or misleading programs. It took time, consistency, and transparency to show that we are different and that our goal is to truly help people find real opportunities.

There were also financial and technical challenges. Building the platform, keeping up with changing online systems, and doing it all without big funding meant learning to do a lot on my own. But each obstacle pushed me to grow stronger and more creative.

Even though it has been difficult, those struggles are the reason I care so deeply about what I do. Every time someone tells me they found a real job because of Legit Work from Home, it reminds me that all the hard days were worth it.
